Here's your pics for you. All you have to do is copy the HMTL code they provide with your picture and paste it into the body of the message box.

If it were me, I would paint that cabinet thing black and add some inexpensive whimsical knobs to help it blend in with the other black pieces you have in the room.

In regards to the table, I would take it out from under the counter and try turning it around. It might fit the space better. I love your hutch and been looking for one just like that that for months. Can I ask where you found it?

As far as the kitchen goes, what is that white cabinet in the back of the room? I see island potential with it.

Now you've asked for color suggestions but have not given us an idea of what colors you like. Do you have a preference?

im not sure where it is from. where do you live? i would totally be willing to sell it if shipping would not match the value of it!! the back cabinet is going in that wall as a baking center i dont think there is enough room for island, but if i need it i can always scootch it around Thanks for your help so far, that darn table has been every which way!!

I have a couple of questions. First, what is going on with that unfinished base cabinet by the fridge? What is in the space (corner?) between the fridge and unfinished piece? I'm wondering if you could put the hutch over there so that you're able to pull the table out from the peninsula, that also spreads the darker furniture around the space. Honestly, I'd put the oops cabinet in the garage or workshop and make sandwiches at the small overhang once the table is moved or clear off the counter on the hutch, store everything you can inside it and make them there.

I would definitely not do a glaze and stick with a solid color for the walls. Kitchens are pretty busy places so you don't need to surround yourself with even more movement.

Do you have an inspiration pic? French country is a pretty broad category and runs from earthy tones to light grays, blues, whites. I can see an older european/unfitted style working well with what you already have.

I'm in Michigan. I don't know why you wouldn't keep that if you are trying to do French Country! It's perfect for that style. If you don't like the black, you could paint it red or green, white or a soft yellow. Or leave it black and paint the back of the shelves a contrasting color.

I have a farm table just like the one you have, only mine is white and wood on top. I just finished sanding down the top and stained it a dark walnut color. Looking for chairs to match it.

If you don't want to keep the black pieces, you should consider selling them in a local consignment store. I know someone would gobble them up quick.

Yes, you could put wheels on that white piece and make it moveable. I would try to contain the cooking to the inner part of the kitchen.

Ok the corner by the unfished soon to be bakeing center, is unfortunatly a doorway. im tired of the peachy orangy pink color thats on the black hutch wall. im thinking more neutral with a glaze only because i have all that beautiful texture already there. The thing is my mom is an interior decorator( I know Why am i asking for help)her taste and mine are totally different, this kitchen is all her, i want some more light and airiness, id love to paint and glaze my cabinets, after i finsh my baking cabinet im hoping to wow my hubby into saying go for it!! I want to be able to say that I put on my big girl panties and see i can do it!!! It's hard to tell from a picture but from what I can see, the table looks a lot nicer and more functional in that direction.

I too would not go with a glaze on your walls. If you're tired of the color, why not pull a very soft yellow or green from that valance you have over the door way for your walls? Either one would compliment both your cabinets and furniture nicely.

I'm not clear as to why you want to have a baking center that's outside of your kitchen space and in your dining room. My kitchen is very similar to yours, oak cabinets and u-shaped and I know sometimes it's hard to get it to work the way we need it to but I would consider using that space next to your refrigerator as a baking center instead.

I also love your hutch and have been looking for one like it with no luck. Any chance you live near Chicago?

The baking center hopefully will be at the white doorless drawerless cabinet, which will stay about where it is. After standing around studying my kitchen, I looked at this calendar on my wall....looks pretty inspirational in colors, except my base it pretty yellow im thinking maybe i can concoct some super fabulous glaze coloring...worst case its ugly and i repaint!!!

I think your kitchen will be beautiful with some new lighting, fresh paint, maybe a change in hardware and some new fabrics. Can you sew? Some cushions on the chairs and a valance over the sink would look great.

As for the baker's rack, can you put that by the hutch and have the microwave on the wooden shelf? That would look amazing. I like your inspiration colors. Soft gold, red and black are very french country. If you want to move more to the blues, that would be nice, too. The bench in the first picture, looks like the same wood as your cabinets. Maybe use that for an inspiration picture and bring the soft gold and french blue (and cream) into the room, to go with the wood cabinets.

I saw something at Lowe's, where you can now paint formica countertops and redo them in a new color. It looks pretty easy and a french blue would look wonderful with your wood cabinets, black appliances, soft gold walls and cream accents. It's just an idea, but that might give you enough of a change, with a little fabric and some french country accessories, to make a big difference.

You have two fans and two pendant lights, right? The pendants look fine, as is, and maybe you could get new shades for the fans? They look fine, but if you see something on sale, it might be fun to change things out a bit. Have a good time with this and make it your space. It's always more of a challenge, to do things over time, and within a budget...but the results are also very satisfying! Have fun :)
