cotton crib crazy quilt

I found a few old floppies and when checking to see what was on them I found this photo of a crib quilt I made for a friend, several years ago....it is in the crib used by her grandmother and mother, as babies, and she keeps it in a spare bedroom decorated in the colors I used (although the picture colors aren't true....the red is more maroon and the blues, darker....I used 1860s repro fabrics). As it wasn't going to be used by a 'real' baby, I did some fancy stitching between the crazy quilt squares. You may not be able to see it well, but I bound it in ticking....we then used a ticking skirt on both the crib and the brass double bed in the room, and a solid blue quilt for the double... coordinated, but not too coordinated.
