De Spike and Ginger are too cute!! Spike is just adorable she looks like such a big dog in the first pic lol. Here are some pics of Maggie she loves to lay on anything clean- does Spike? Donna-After reading up on CF I was wondering the same thing.So, I just called DDIL to make sure that is what they are testing him for and it is CF.The reason for the test is because his bowel ruptured in utero and they don't know why.That is one of the things that can happen with CF.So it wasn't the actual surgery but the cause of rupture they were concerned about.It is just a precaution.She isn't too worried about it though,so that is good.She just said she even licked his face today and he didn't taste salty,(one of the symptoms of CF).LOL I told her that I had done the same thing while they were here and she cracked up!LOL Still won't hurt to say a little prayer.LOL Patti-We are planning to go up to see them hopefully next week.I'll take some pictures but I won't have a way to post them till I get back.We will be gone 2 or 3 weeks.

Little Lil, played a bit yesterday and ate 5 very tiny meals, but drank well. Today she was up a few minutes and back under the blankets lol..she's always been a late riser. She had a small normal bowel movement early this morning so I'd say she's comming along good. Alex..Lil eats boiled boneless skinless chicken breasts everyday..anything else she has a flair up. She gets a teaspoon of pumpkin 2 times a week for the fiber that's the amount that works and doesn't cause gastro issues. No she for sure won't live a full life but the majority of the time for the past two years she's been controlled. Prior to that it was a weekly vet visit for IV fluids and injections of Cerenia for vomiting...her health is why Ive been on the hunt for another chihuahua for the kids, they are so bonded with Lil that when she goes I doubt they will bond with another dog. Good thing she a little dog or my chicken nill would be expensive lol. Matt is seeing the doctor again today..they want another CT Scan his jaw didn't film to their absolute that its not broke and in fact is so swollen he is unable to put a spoon of soup in his mouth. Personally after the things I've seen in the business..its either brok or dislocated..and since the radiologist called on a sunday wanting another scan..he must see something on the first scan. he went to work this morning but is leaving at 3 for the scan..and he won't stay here for me to nurse him..he says if he stayed here I'd be fussing so much he'd have a nervous breakdown..me fuss..LOL. So I've just been texting him every hour and if he doesn't respond...I call...Hahaha. Thank you everyone for your good words..I think I've caught up on sleep but still feel like I'm dragging..maybe a fudge bar will help. Lol.

Oh poor guy!... On the subject of eating things, my granddaughter's orange tabby cat, Gary... he ate an entire package of 25 new hair ties. In the X-ray's his intestines looked like a braided rope. We forked out the 1200 for surgery and he recovered great. Then 2 years later he somehow got up under our daughter's sewing machine, pulled out and ate an entire bobbin of black thread so back for more surgery. They had to take his entire intestines out and lay them out on the table, 12 feet of intestines they said. They had to make small incisions every few inches, snip and pull the thread out. When they got up close to his stomach the last bit wouldn't come out. They looked in his mouth and it was wrapped around the base of his tongue. That surgery took a while to get over. He must of learned his lesson as that was the last of his eating things he shouldn't, that we know of anyway. But... this spring he somehow contacted a fungus infection in his lungs and didn't make it... after a couple more thousand dollars in trying to save him....
