Test on Sunday morning!!

Hello, my KT friends.

I have been very out of touch lately--my apologies. No excuse, but I have been terribly, awfully, wildly crazy-busy!

This Sunday morning, I'm taking an industry exam in Seattle. It starts at 8:00 a.m. and I'll have 4 hours to finish it. I've studied a lot, but I sure could use your prayers and good thoughts. If you could think of me on Sunday, I'd really appreciate it.

It looks great! You can actually try to seed the areas next to the black driveway now--that area stays so warm that sprout is possible even quite late in the season, and areas near tarmac are hesitant to sprout with the rest of the lawn due to the heat. Water by hand twice a day. Or just dormant seed it. The rest is a perfect candidate for spot dormant seeding. Pictures always miss the more subtle green sprouts that your eye picks up easily. I'm sure it looks fantastic when you're standing there! Spring renovations can be a problem, but in an area that small it shouldn't be too much of an issue. You're going to get a ton of weeds, so I'd plan on using Tupersan or Tenacity as a pre-emergent when seeding (neither harm grass seeds). The grass will be very delicate during the summer since it didn't have fall and early spring to grow roots, so you'll need to water it regularly and way more often than an established lawn--otherwise, it'll die. On three hundred square feet, that's easy.

I love Filled to Overflowing. I had it and tried to divide it this spring. Through a series of mishaps akin to a sitcom, I managed to kill all of it. Fortunately, I gave a neighbor a start last year and it has done well so she is giving me back some. Keep your fingers crossed I don't do it again. Live Mean Green, and it is coming to my garden soon! Tahiti Sweeti is one I want.

I've been saving a dozen beans from each bag for the garden. Just don't have the fenced room to grow in any bulk. 7 acres+ but only a half acre fenced. Too many bears and critters. So impressed with Steves determination to keep these heirloom beans for us to enjoy and pay good wages to farmers. Especially his Mexican project. 11 thousand in the bean club. Impressive. A few dozen friends and co-workers joined a couple years ago with my nagging. So appreciative this past ugly 2020 covid season.

My fingers are crossed that you ace the test. When I read that it would last 4 hrs, I immediately felt tired. I don't think my mind could last that long, and I know my body wouldn't.

Thanks to my KT friends who posted their support and "smart thoughts" (Stacy, I loved that phrase!)

The test was brutal, but it's over. I won't know if I passed for another month or so. I'm trying not to think about it, because I'm determined not to start studying again unless/until I find out I really have to.
