Wowee!! I just saw 4.25 today.

i paid 3.93 on tuesday and filled that sucker to the brim hoping it'll last me for a long while!

I paid $4.35 this morning. I swung in after I dropped the kids off at school. After I put the nozzle in I went to select the gas and saw the price. I actually thought I was about to select the premium fuel until I looked closer.

I didn't fill up. Just got enough to hold me for a while.

CRAZY!!!

Gas here seems to have dropped by a penny. I am sure it was $3.79 just a day or two ago and today I noticed it is $3.78. Every station in town has the same price.

It was $3.89 here today.Did anyone see on Fox news today where some government "entity",can't remember which,is looking into the gas prices? They are saying that oil should be at $50.00 a barrel instead of the $178.00(?) that it is now.I didn't get all of the story.Maybe it will run again tonight.

Prices have dropped 8 cents here today.

I think ours is at about $4.45. Diesel is out of sight. I am afraid for the truck drivers. When we tell people that we charge $50 for delivery & pickup, round trip...some are so rude. How can you charge that much? Well, we get 8 miles to the gallon in our trucks. I asked a lady today...have YOU filled your gas tank lately? She answered yes. I said. We fill ours DAILY...on almost all of our 12 trucks.

It has finally gone over $4 at most gas stations here in Portland, OR. I did find one that was slightly under, and I only put $30 in. I can usually go 2 weeks between fills, but I'm going to have to be even extra careful. I don't know how people with those big trucks and such are handling it.

I paid $3.79 a gallon on Wednesday in San Antonio.

$3.99 at the more expensive station near us yesterday. I'm sure by tomorrow the cheaper ones will be even higher than this. It's getting kinda scary...
I have defintely began rethinking my driving habits lately and trying to combine errands and such. We've also cutting back in other areas as well to try to save some $$$.

another reason for me to ride my bike. I bought me an old clunker, that I can feel fine about leaving in front of the grocery store (but still locked up). I would hate to leave my "nice" bike there.

Meanwhile, I do know, there are lots of peeps to far from a store, or for some reason or other, unable to do this.

I just wish, public transportation was better in my neck of the world.

This "pumoing gas" that you spoke of ... is that sort of like shooting one's self in the foot?

Our governments have held several investigations.

Which concluded that, yes, the claim is true - there's no collusion in the gasoline business ... that it really is competitive!

And, in this area of about 340,000, I think that about half a dozen may have believed them.

The "market" that business figures to be more or less like god, works so that when you have something that pretty well everybody needs, you can pretty well charge what you please.

Which has meant that one guy who had the keys to a pretty well essential service ...

... has become the world's richest guy.

In about half of a generation.

Been investigated several times .... came out smelling like a rose.

Works even better, especially if the stuff gets used up ... and, being non-renewable (in the short term - something less than a million years), the world's running out of it!

Good wishes for not needing something that's essential.

Or, if you do, having your own source of supply.

It's 3.95 in my town. I just filled up, went to the Kroger gas station so I can use my Kroger shopper card and pay 3.85. I put $88 in my tank today. I am thankful that I don't have to go very far, the farthest I really need to go for anything right now is about 10 miles. And with school out and kids' activities in the slow time of year, there will be days when I don't drive anywhere. I bet it lasts me about 3 weeks.

Time to shut off the engine when going downhill!

Or when approaching traffic lights that just turned yellow.

There's a station near me still selling at #3.99 but I paid $4.199 yesterday. I saw gas for boat engines at $4.94.

That $1.30 that Fermented Cherries talked about ...

... multiply by 3.85 ...

I gassed up at our Costco today and regular was 4.099 -- I may as well move to France!
