wood balusters with 1' diameter top and bottom

We are replacing the balusters in our stairs (which turn twice at 90 degrees). I love the bannister; it's a heavy brass beauty. But the balusters are -- I am not making this up -- lucite. Besides being dated, a couple are broken.

This staircase is right in the center of our home, so I want it to look really nice. There are two square ornamental columns nearby, and they are fluted, so I want the balusters fluted, two. Not sure if I want square or round, but the tops and bottoms need to be round to fit the holes in the baluster on top and the brass fittings on the bottom.

The problem is the 1" diameter of those holes. 1 1/4" seems to be the smallest standard size.

Do I need to order custom? Or does anyone make these?

SO: wood, fluted, 1" diameter at top and bottom.

Thanks so much!
