This picture of my friend's son and his prom date made me laugh, so I stole it to share here:

Sherry, I don't know when she's getting married. David's sister "surprised" the family with the announcement that she was getting married this summer. That wedding is May 20. David's mother says she can't handle two weddings in one year, it's too "stressful". Since Amanda doesn't really care whether they get married or not, she just said they'd wait until next year. It's fine with me, I have Ashley's graduation, then her open house, her trip to Costa Rica, and college preparations to make for fall, I have plenty to occupy me this summer (and to spend my money on!) Great pics! Kevin does look like both his Mom and Dad! The girls look great too. Love the dresses. Everyone looks like they're planning a great night. Your Post Prom sounds like our Project Graduation. Here for Prom night most kids rent a limo together (8 or 10 kids) and go out to a nice restaurant for dinner, then go to the Prom and then on to breakfasts at different houses. I had a group here on Prom night this year even though my youngest is 21. It was mostly kids his age who are out of school, but they had friends and family going to the prom so they were in a festive mood. They just hung outside, laughed and talked till 3am!!!

Thanks, everyoone, for all your nice comments! Suzanne was only 17 when she had Liz, so they are both young! She divorced Liz's father less than two years later, and I'm very proud of all she's accomplished since then. Except for blonde hair (well, mine used to be all blonde) I don't think I resemble either of them, unfortunately. I'm bigger all over, for one thing. And Suzanne inherited my mother-in-law's perfect nose (because I prayed for that when I was pregnant!). Sometimes, though, I catch a glimpse of my mother's family in Liz's face. The older I get the more wonderful youth looks in ANY picture! One would just hope that these two actually end up as a couple and see this ride through. :)

I love it- even with those silly faces they look gorgeous! Is it just me or do we KTers have some of the most beautiful children/grandchildren, ect. in the world?

I imagine that those two will end up taking life's bumps with ease. If that picture doesn't make you smile you might want to check your bu**, you may have something stuck up it.

Incidentally, the photo at the far right end of the mantle shows the male half of the couple (wearing white shirt) when he was much younger. How time flies!
