They get big. I don't know about the females but the males get huge. I joke and say that they are about the size of a volkswagen, but from pictures I have seen of ones that have been killed, they are very big. I would research more, but when I search feral hogs on the internet, I find pics of dead ones hung up to trees and dogs attacking them, and I find that disturbing. At least, it is something I don't want to see. I will keep updating her progress as she grows. She is very funny and playful. She likes to take an old tee shirt and drag it around. She likes for me to use it like a bullfighter cape and she runs through it. Today I went in the house, wearing sweats, and came out wearing jeans, and she was startled and didn't recognize me and ran away, but came back when I called her. She's a lot of fun.

That's one reason I think spaying her will be a good idea. She will be more satisfied just hanging around. Also, I think the SPCA, who sent her here in connection with the Wildlife Center, would feel very badly if she became unmanageable and hurt me or I had to find another place for her. The reason I call the wild one in the pasture "Baby"...that is what I call all the coons, etc. here. When I put out their food, I say, "Come on, babies...come on, babies."

I'm so sorry for you and Piggy Sue. This makes me so sad. Since I've started doing animal rescue, I have really come to dislike some people. I hope you get justice for you and Piggy Sue and he pays big time.

Loved the videos. Who ever thought you could train pigs to respond to spoken words? Although, I have read that pigs are much smarter than we think, and are even smarter than dogs. So I guess you qualify to be called Marilyn, the Pig Whisperer? Sue
