Incredible show last night. I think it was the best show so far. I was thoroughly entertained. For the first time, Sanjaya wasn't bad. His performance was much better than anything he's done before. The person who really bothers me and I think could very well be booted off tonight is Phil Stacey. He was the first one to perform. I just don't like him. Something about that guy really bothers me? And I think that out of all the performances last night, his was the weakest. Until Sanjaya's performance last night, I thought he should be the one to go. Guess we'll find out tonight. I agree that LaKisha should have listened to Lulu. I wasn't as impressed by her last night as I usually am. I'm adding Jordin to my favs too. And I rather like Haley, the girl with the mole and thought she was pretty good last night, though not the best. But I don't think she can win this. Melinda is just awesome as far as I'm concerned. I think she'll do well wheather she wins this or not. I look forward to her performances every week. Joy

I'm there! Been waiting for the new season, although I must say-next year during the tryouts-I will be even more excited as a 16 yr old stunning, talented gal from here-is trying out. She was told last year when she was 15 yrs old-too young,but "we're keeping an eye out for you for next year"! Well, she turned 16 this past month. She has made a CD already & guest sings with a popular group in our area, about once a month. Awesome voice!

As far as constructive criticism, I think Kara gives the best. She tempers the bad with the good. Simon and Randy keep telling them the same things: song choice, do something different with the song to make it yours, etc then when they do, its not right. Ellen doesn't have any musical talent to base her comments on, just whether she likes the person or not. I wish they just had the 3 or the 4th being a musical guest of the week. I didn't care for Sinatra night. I liked Crystal's song better than the judges, and Lee was good. Mike was okay as was Aaron. Casey wasn't very good. He looked lost without his guitar.

Well, it looks as if I'm definitely in the minority here. I think that America made the absolutely right choice when they voted for Lee ! From the very first night of competition, I thought Lee was wonderful and was the person I wanted to win this competition. I think he is very "commercial"...meaning that I think his music will be attractive to many different age groups and genres. Although Crystal has a powerful voice, I'm not sure who will buy her music. I can see people in my age group, that remember and loved Janis, being potential fans but I can see young people becoming real fans. I can't wait to buy another Lee Dewyze cd (I already own two).
