Hmmm hubby and I watched that last half hour or so...and thought that almost everyone was FLAT...(drama girl and the last guy were about the least off) I kept thinking that the background singers were over singing the contestants.

I don't think the question thing was Ryan's fault..timing was off lastnight...it seemed very rushed.

I'm glad you mentioned the sound. I thought maybe my TV was on the fritz.

My favorites were the first gal who sang an Aretha Franklin song (nice surprise), Braddy (can't remember his first name), and Danny.

Tatiana actually surprised me as well. Where did that come from?

I'm tired of the antics of the judges

Last night was weird to watch. I don't remember so many people making flat out bad song choices. I thought Anoop, Danny, the girl with pink hair, and Tatiana were the best.

The oil rig guy reminds me of Garth Brooks probably because they both have average looks and talent. I wouuldn't count this guy out yet. The country crowd protects there own. He could very well end up in Nashville.

As far as the judges go, I liked the old format without Kara. People don't like Simon because they think he's too harsh, but he does actually provide the contestants with good advice.

We taped it and just watched it a few minutes a go. Danny was the best. We liked Anna Maria? as well even if the judges didn't like her. The fellow that sang first was also one of my favourites but overall I have to say that the guys were better than the gals.

I really liked Danny Gokey and thought both Anoop and the Braddy kid were good. The girls were mostly awful IMO... sadly I thought Tatiana was about the best of them.

Same here. I love Danny, he's nice looking too.
Sadly is exactly the word I would have chosen with Tatiana. Unless one of the other girls loosens up and really shows something, Tatiana has the better voice. But man that girl is just not 'right' if you know what I mean. She seems a little off and I can't see her winning this thing. I think she even creeps the judges out a little.

Danny is my favorite, he has so much heart and soul in his music. I like Anoop dog as well. I thought the guys far out shined the girls last night.

I agree that Tatiana did well, but she definitely creeps me out.

I don't know the Blondes name (with the red tips), but we like her best of all the girls. Tatiana's just to creepy. I agree Danny and Anoop are very good.

I agree with Happy go lucky. Don't know the names yet but #3 with pink and blonde hair was the best. Tatiana did well but Simon said it best.."you are a drama queen". Still she did a good job with the Whitney Houston song.

Didn't think much of the guys last night. Can't wait to see who gets picked tonight. If Tatiana doesn't make it through I wonder if she will have a melt down on stage.

Danny is by far the best. I really didn't like any of the others. I thought the first girl has potential.

Danny's being so blatant about trading on the death of his wife, that he's totally put me, my dd and most of our friends off. It's just so crass to be playing the 'poor me, I'm a widower' card just to get votes. And he's way too chipper for someone who just lost a spouse. Everyone I know who lost a spouse they were deeply in love with, wasn't able to be that cheery within months of their death. Just sends me a bad vibe, I'm afraid.

Truthfully? I liked his friend much better--both for his personality and his singing. What a shame he didn't make it through.

If I had to pick three it would be Danny, Anoop and the oil rig guy. I like the girl with the pink hair too but I like oil rig guy better, even though I don't think he sang that great last night...or maybe it was the song? My dd said that's the way that song sounds.

Oh, I forgot to answer your question, yes, it was off. Especially noticed the singer's mikes seemed to be low and background singers higher, especially when the Michael Jackson singing guy sang...didn't like him last night but did in the auditions.

I don't think Danny can help, but talk about his dead wife. A major tragic event like that would be all consuming. I know we as an audience probably get tired of it, but maybe it's therapy for him. It has to be bittersweet to get the chance like AI, but not have the one person you loved most to be there with you.

I really like Danny and I too think it only natural that he talk about her, I ginto tell what they talked about before her passing, but I would not coubt that this was planned and that he went ahead with the audition at her urging. If I were in her place I would certainly want my spouse to continue with his dream.

I'm so glad that Idol disqualified the gal last week, I think they really need to address what is a professional and what is an amateur. As much as I loved Melinda Doolittle I really think she was a pro.

I was almost pleasntly suprised by Tatiana....I can't stand to look at her and her weird ways but she can sing. I kept waiting for her to cut loose with that stupid laugh of hers. Her screaming is the worst! I'm not so sure she is all there...just really wierd. But Danny is my favorite too...his talking about his late wife doesn't bother me at all, but I hope that if he does win he doesn't hear it was sympathy votes. That would be wrong if he truly deserved it and I can see why some people would think that.
