My two favorite right now are James and Lauren. Still like the other two but not as much.

I wish you had seen Hailey's first song. It was awful. She is so inconsistent. I wish she would just sing and stop all that screaming and growling. I really don't like her style.

James is very entertaining and even though he still wears the "heavy metal" clothing he has really toned it down so you can hear what a great voice he has. He is very entertaining. I think he will be the Idol.

Scotty and Lauren both brought me to tears with their first song. I was thankful their second songs were playful. I don't think I could have stood hearing another tear jerker.

I thought they were all pretty good last night, wasn't wowed by any of the songs and although James put on a wonderful first performance I thought he was pitchy. The judges didn't hear it, so maybe I was wrong?

I think James and Scotty will be the final two.

So who do you think is going home tonight? I won't be home to watch the show, so they'll just have to go on without me. LOL

If I had to guess, I'd say it's farewell to Lauren. But that's only if I had to guess. It's anybody's call.

On the show, they keep sounding like people vote on the basis of each Wednesday's performances, but I think the voters know who their favorites are, and will vote for them no matter what kind of a performance they turn in each week.

It's funny how subjective everything is. I just read a review of last night's show (on MSNBC.com) in which the reviewer said Haley looked prettier with her hair up. I disagree completely. I love it down. :-)

I hope Haley goes tonight. Her time to leave is well overdue. And I think she really needs some professional voice mentoring with all that "bad" growling she does where it doesn't belong along with too much of it. Didn't like either of her performances. Loved everyone especially James and Lauren.

I 'm sure one of the girls will go home tonight, no idea which one. Both have been in the bottom 3 a couple times before.

I didn't like Haley's hair up. I never really paid attention to it before but I kept thinking how beautiful Lauren's hair looked last night, she had little jewels in it too.

I kept falling asleep...(really worn out taking care of Denny) but what I did see, I was somewhat disappointed in Haley (I also didn't care much for the hairdo, made her look old) Got tickled at Lauren not wanting anyone to think she was evil. She really is a sweet girl...I hope all this doesn't change her too much.
Never have cared for Scotty...he's got a good voice if you like country (I don't at all)
James is my favorite all the way...Lauren 2nd.

All in all this has been a really good group from the get go.

Haley giving the 2 judges the evil eye when they were critiquing her, and then arguing with Randy was her swan song last night. The judges were doing their job. The song choice was awful and so was her singing.
She doesn't handle criticism well at all, and that goes with the territory of being a professional.
James should win. He was spot on singing Steve Perry last night. Not one bad note throughout.
Think Scotty is a sweetie but boring as hell. Lauren is good. Not great.

Well, I just watched Haley's first song (from last night) on YouTube, and have to say I agree with Steven Tyler: I liked it. Randy was comparing her performance with Michael Jackson's, which I've never heard. I thought the high, rough voice she used for part of the song was appropriate, given the song's rather desperate message. I agree with Jenuwin, though, that she might have made a mistake in getting defensive with Randy.

I really, really like Haley. I think her voice, and the control she has over it, is phenomenal. But I'm surprised that she's still hanging in there on the show. I thought she would have been voted off weeks ago. Guess I didn't have enough faith in the voters. :-)

I think American Idol is on the way down. Dancing With The stars is much better!

to me that is not the case I do not even watch Dancing with the stars anymore it has been so boring, when they had really big stars that were well known it was much better.
American Idol this season is one of the best ever with the new judges and the new mentoring for the kids it is a much better show, with the best talent ever.

Haley really messed up with her attitude, turned me off totally and I am sure did the same to many, she should be gracious and delighted to have the guidance of such famous and professional mentors, instead of trying to talk over them and being rude. That would kill my vote for her.
The first song they were trying to help her with was really bad as Randy said she was screaming and I hope she sees that when she watches herself. I always liked her but that was just poor judgment and bratty. Her second song was much better. But at this point in the competition wishy washy is not an option.

James is solid he is dependable and gave 2 good performances last night.
Scotty is a great performer and singer, no matter what happens on AI that fella will be a star and just as Jennifer said I am glad to be witnessing it happen.
Lauren needs to get out of her timid skin and put on her I am here to win skin, that girl can sing if she would just let loose and pour it all out. She would be a great country singer, I think she could give Carrie Underwood a run for it. Her first song was a tear jerker!

I think it will come down to James and Lauren. I love Scotty though but I don't think his voice is as strong as Lauren or James' right now. When he sang his second song last night, while it was good, I thought it was really pitchy. I love country music so I know the two songs he sang and the judges were saying how right on he was with the second song and it was great, etc. As much as I like him, I didn't think it was that great. I hope Haley goes home tonight. I just don't care for her attitude.

Just watched the results show and can't believe the outcome. I won't spoil it for you but I'm in tears. You will all be in shock.

Can not believe what I witnessed on IDOL tonite....GAGA'S performance...the way she was dressed...and the elimination...

We are not watching Idol this year but we did just watch the results tonight, it was very obvious that the judges agree with you, Linda. There were tears there as well.

It's really sad each week to watch one get voted off. As for Lady Gaga. She sure ain't no lady!!

Disappointed here. This started out being one of the best seasons, but it is ending as one of the worst.

We all know now that Scotty will win.The girls are there just to keep it interesting, but we all know neither of them will make idol. Country is very popular now days, and he also has the young teen vote. He is not a better singer. He is a one trick pony, and he has a nice voice, but all his songs sound alike.
I wish him well, but we will be hearing more of James on the radio than we will Scotty.

I'm done. I really don't care who wins now. I won't be watching. Never liked Scotty from the beginning.

I had wanted either Scotty or James to win. I thought they would be the final two. After last night, nothing is certain. As a senior, I was surprised at how much I enjoyed James' style. I will miss him.

Yes, metal has never been my favorite kind of music either, but I was captivated by James, his voice, and his performances. I just watched his exit on YouTube and cried along with him. I will be amazed if he doesn't achieve great success with his music, though.

What a load of crap! They send James home and keep Haley? HALEY? Of course, they kept Fantasia that year and she was disgustingly awful. It's a shame, James should have won. Scotty and Lauren are country singers. Haley just screams.

What did you all think of Jordan Sparks' performance? She looks so different, I liked her on American Idol but her performance kinda surprised me. Why do they all have to act so slutty when they sing? Even my 15 year old thinks it's wrong.

It was the website "votefortheworst.com". They want Haley to win because they know she isn't the best. They are tickled pink that James is out now. They were also ticked off because the 2 judges were critical of her, thus also sticking it to the judges.
They did it to Daughtry a couple years ago.
Just a nasty, needing a life group of people on the site. Their joy is to see people dreams smashed.
They never vote for who should win. They always vote to keep the worst there.
By the way...Howard Stern is the genius who got this votefortheworst going.

I'm so sorry about James...but I think he'll have many oportunities ahead of him. Just hope he makes the right decisions.

My choice would have been to send Scotty home first. I can't stand how cool he thinks he is. Then Haley. Then Lauren and James would have been the winner.

Not sure if Lauren is mature enough for all of this. But I remember them saying early on they were hoping for a female winner this time. And looking for a new teen singer. She'll be a good infleunce on the teen fans. I hope...as long as she doesn't become "evil"

Do you think people really pay significant attention to votefortheworst? I have no idea, but anything's possible.

It's funny how we have all these different perceptions. I don't pick up any arrogant vibes from Scotty at all. I think he's a nice, small-town kid, and I hope fame doesn't overwhelm him. And, as we all know, I think Haley is wonderful. :-)

"THEY" = people who vote! If you like someone either vote or convince anyone you can to vote!

Idol needs to adopt the same voting protocol that DWTS has, that only 'x' number of calls is accepted from each number/email. But they are too worried about getting the high number of votes. Sadly I think that costs them in the long run, it sure has messed up a lot of the winners.

I agree with Lynn.. Idol needs to make a change in the voting rules. People have automatic dialers that make 100's of votes.

I don't know if Vote For the Worst really makes a difference or not. They couldn't save Jacob (who was their vote a few weeks ago).
