The nicest thing just happened

I've been trying to have a yard sale for about two months now. Most weekends have been stormy. On other weekends Anna has had either martial arts tournaments or church activities that I've had to take her to, then Bob was in the hospital for two weekends. I have had stuff in the garage all this time. Monday I told myself if I'm not able to have it this weekend I'm going to pack the stuff up and take it to Goodwill. Tuesday I told myself that's a good idea anyway because I'm tired of looking at all that stuff. I took two truck loads to the Goodwill store.

I had a gasoline edger that is made to use where there is no curb. I used it when we lived in the country to keep the loooonnnng driveway edged. I also had a hose reel and two spare gasoline cans. Armondo, a neighbor who has a landscape company, asked me about the yard equipment a few weeks ago. I didn't take that to Goodwill. When he came home from work Tuesday I hollered at him and asked him to come over for a minute. I told him the sale was off and he could have the stuff if he wanted it. He took it. He carried the reel and the gas cans and I rolled the edger to his house. When we got there I complimented him on how beautiful his roses were. I told him I had been to a local nursery twice to get some similar to his, but I have been loading up on other stuff instead. Anyway, the doorbell just rang. I went to the door and saw two beautiful rosebushes in 3 gallon containers on the front porch and also saw the tail lights of his truck pulling out of the driveway. What a guy. If it wasn't dark and rainy outside I'd go out there now and plant them in the spot I have prepared for the ones I've been going to buy. I'm so happy!!
