I was hoping for a post like this, I almost started one.

My husband is very, very thoughtful. We have a housekeeper, but he does more than half of the daily stuff that needs to be done in the house, and all of the outside work. He cleans the snow off my car before he goes to work, does the dishes, cooks weekly even though he hates cooking and he jumps in and helps me with anything I'm doing. He thinks of things that I might need, or would like, and gets them for me all the time. He is extremely generous, and continually gives everything he has to me and the kids. Best of all, he has a great sense of humor and really makes me laugh.

My son is very playful, amusing and entertaining. He also makes me laugh, he is very funny. Even though I often have to remind him to do things around the house, he is very sensitive. If I am upset or not feeling well, he will tend to me, take the dogs out, or be tuned in to whatever I might need or want.

My dad is very wise, and keeps me grounded. He really has a great sense of humor. I guess humor is very important to me.

My DH takes care of all the housework, yard work and even the laundry. He also makes me breakfast in the morning, gets my coffee and makes my lunch. On days he is home he will have dinner waiting for me and then does the dishes afterwards.

I am his everything. In everything he does, he is thinking of me and what he can do (not buy) for me. I rarely have to ask for anything. He cooks my breakfast, packs my lunch, fixes my dinner. He surprises me with little treats. He loves to hold hands. He thinks my linebacker shoulders look sexy. He asks me if there is anything he can do for me, when clearly he is already doing so much. He tells me often that he loves me and that he is so glad that he married me.

He is my everything. And I know that I do not deserve him. But I'll keep him, just the same.

My husband is always thinking of me, giving me little treats. For Christmas he gave me a box of chocolates from My hometown and a backscratcher because I'm always itchy. Maybe I'm allergic to chocolate-NAHHH!

One nice thing about Ron is that he still thinks I'm sexy even though I weigh 220 pounds! He is also more than willing to help out with anything around the house. He and my son Jason take turns washing the dishes and doing the heavy housework. Besides, he's my very best friend. After knowing me all these years he still likes me and respects me! And....my number one favorite thing is, he listens to me! He has always wanted to hear my opinion.

He's intelligent and we can have sensible conversations. He supports me in my photography and researches all the lenses and cameras so I don't have to (I hate doing that). He always thanks me for cooking meals and doing little stuff. He is funny, too!

I haven't read any responses, nor the other thread. Just want to say:

My husband doesn't smoke, doesn't hang out in bars, and doesn't chase women.

Can't get a lot better than that.

My ex is the most wonderful man alive, honestly. I can't tell you the numbe of times he has come to my rescue, as well as that of my friends, neighbors and relatives. He's just that way. When I lost my job and my car knew it so stopped working, he brought over his relatively new car (one of those nice sporty ones), so I could get to interviews and then to my new job. Greatest guy on earth, and Dad too. Don't ask me why we aren't together - people asking me that all the time and I never have an answer.

My husband is very kind hearted and generous. He never tells me what to do or gives me grief about anything. He is great to sleep with...keeps me warm, and seldom snores. He was an excellent father to our daughter...always taking part in her activities, taking her places, and took off work to be at school any time to meet the teachers or go on field trips. When she was a baby, he would take her with him for 4 or 5 hours to give me a little break. (Totally breastfed, so never gone for any longer than that.)

He has never drank or done drugs. He won't even take prescription meds unless he is very, very sick. He loves my cooking and always brags on me. He is extremely independent and self assured. He doesn't care what anyone thinks about anything...he is totally his own person. He works hard but has always wanted me to stay home...which, I wanted to do anyway. Never says a word about any money I spend. Treated my parents as if they were his own....very, very good to them.

He is very good natured and if he gets mad, he is over it in about 5 minutes.

Oops, you asked for one thing and I gave you a long list. I guess the nicest thing is that I have known him for 50 years...we met March 25, 1959....when we were 12 years old.
I wrote about it in my diary. ;)

Well he doesn't help with housework, (he says he see's nothing dirty!) he doesn't help cook (he is agreeable to calling out for something, as long as its not pizza)he doesn't do laundry (he will put away his clothes and often the towels and bathroom stuff)He does shovel tons of snow! LOL
The nicest thing is he tells me he loves me often! And He says I'm beautiful. (even though I know he needs his eyes checked)
I guess I will keep him! (wish he'd lose that awful attitude and temper though! LOL)

He loves me! LOL!! He is so laid back, he doesn't ever complain and for some reason he thinks I'm about perfect! Love must really be blind. And in the soon to be 25 years we've been married, I don't think he has ever finished a meal that I have cooked for him without saying "Thank you".

He's so calm and so supportive. A few years ago when I was getting the Athena award he showed up in a limo to take me to the ceremony. He made me cry.

He knows his stuff. If it plugs into the wall, he can fix it. If it has a harddrive, he can take it apart, reprogram it, and put it back together. He's useful that way. If I volunteer him to make a tech support housecall to a friend, he rolls his eyes, but he does it and makes their computer better than it was before. I volunteered him to maintain the PTA website for the kids' school... which was really pushing it b/c that's not a one-time thing, it's constant... and it's not like he needs something to do, he's busy. But he's been doing it for 2 years now, and not asking to stop. He even pays the annual registration fee and never subits a receipt. It makes me look good. ;o)

The kids fall on the floor laughing when I call him a "sexy geek." It's also a very useful skill when controlling kids on the internet, our kids can't get anywhere. In our case, at least one parent knows way more than the kids about computer/internet controls. Which is one less thing for me to worry about.

He makes me laugh...most of the time

And he makes me feel loved...even when the first two aren't working as good as they could/should....lol

And he's got out of this world kisses...;>)

My DH makes me laugh until my sides hurt! And he lets me spend $ for whatever I *need*. :)

My DS (almost 5 years old) is a ham! And he's a hugger and kisser...what more could I ask for?

Mine is my SO,who also happens to be 15 yrs my junior

He loves me to the ends of the earth,would do,and does do,*anything* for me.

He puts up with me,which in most ppls worlds is an accomplishment in itself.

The other most important male in my life is my DS

He respects me and my thoughts,does as much as he is able for me whenever possible.
He makes me proud...I consider having raised him mostly myself,as his Dad worked away for most of the kids' years growing up.
He's a particularly good, all around person who also seems to accept my life choices,such as they are at times and is non-judgemental regarding all ppl that I am aware of.

My sweetie of soon to be 51 years is very thoughtful of me. A large share of the work around here falls to him because of my disability. He never complaines and is always asking if there is anything else I want done. He has many health issues of his own..several heart surgeries/procedures, is insulin dependant, has to wear prescription support socks, arthritis in his hands and more, yet I have never heard one word of complaint from him about any of it, ever!

The best part is that at least 1/2 dozen times a day, he seeks me out to wrap his arms around me and give me a smooch or two while saying, "I love you"

DH-Worked hard to provide for us and appreciated the fact that I was a SAHM. He was very very involved in the kids activities and spent a lot of quality kid time with them as well as sharing care-giving duties from day one. He is generous to a fault.
He can do laundry, clean the bathroom and repair or build just about anything. He cannot cook however so he is banned from the kitchen except to nuke stuff.LOL

DS- #1 is he is extremely kind to women. Girls always flocked to him. For a long while he appeared to have his own harem. LOL He absolutely adores his SO and is extremely protective of her without being the least bit controlling. He is a true believer in equal rights but chivalry is his middle name. He has my back. A real tough guy with a gentle nature.

D(quite likely)SIL to be- He loves my DD and shows it in every way both large and small. A hard worker who wants a family to provide for and who doesn't have the materialist expectations of his generation. He has solid values and isn't afraid to fight and work hard for what he wants. As my DD puts it... he's a combination of her brother and the best qualities of the two other main loves of her life before him without the negative ones.

My second husband (my *last* husband) has a tender heart.

Man!!! You girls have made me turn green from envy. Y'all need to hang onto these guys!!
