Oh that is adorable! I would go for that set. Perhaps you could use the pink bumpers you have elsewhere (like at a grandparent's house?). Check out the link below. I know someone who had their bedding made here but I think you can also buy just the fabric. Not your exact fabric, but some that are similar.

I don't like it as much as the PB fabric.. I really like the boldness and the oranges... but it's in the right direction.

I don't really like to buy baby bedding sets bc I think they're a waste. You don't really use the quilts/blankets.. and I had to take my daughter's bumper out at age 9 months bc she was using it to climb in her crib. (little monkey.) So I am not wanting to spend a ton on a bumper knowing I won't use it very long.

What is on the wall on the left side? My first thought is that I wouldn't put the crib in the corner, I'd rather see you put the glider there where you can feed and snuggle. If you put the crib there you are eventually going to hear her playing with the blinds or shutters (cords are dangerous) and she will feel the cold/heat from the glass to her crib. I do think shutters would look nice.

Love your choice on fabric, and the sugar baby. Lots of great colors in there and you could ask your mom to make a valance, couple of pillows for the glider, and even put it on a lamp shade.

If you have room on the left wall, I'd put the crib there. More pics of the room?

Built-in dresser and closet. So this entire wall is "taken." Would like to find something interesting to put above the dresser. Maybe a neat mirror.....?

Jack and Jill bath right off the bedroom. I would like to keep that lime green color on the walls in the bathroom.

Wall behind the door... and back to the windows. So really, the only place *I* can see to put the crib is by the windows... angled while she's an infant... though once we paint and I get the crib moved in there I will play around with it and see where else it can go.

Thoughts???? :)

Love the Sweet Nothings Paisley Cream. Your vision is going to turn into a lovely nursery. I don't like "sets" either and DM drove me nuts when she wanted to buy a "set" for my baby's room. I ran in the opposition direction of pre-packaged sets. Now that was 22 yrs ago, so things have come a long way in what is available.

May I ask if the crib can be placed where I see a white dresser peeking out. Just putting the crib anywhere near windows freaks me out. JMHO

The dresser is a built in and cannot be moved.

It's a strange room and I have no idea what I'll do once the baby is in a real bed.

Having the crib near the window is also a little odd to me. That said, we live in South Texas and do not have severe weather. And if I install plantation shutters, the blinds will not cause worry... I'm not sure... once I get the room painted I can play around w/ the placement of the crib.

Would you be willing to put the crib between the door & window? Or if there is room to do it, center it below the light fixture? I think you might have to have a bigger room for that not to eat up so much real estate though.

The PBK bedding is great but I don't like sets either. I do like the paisley cream - very pretty & vibrant. If you can find some striped fabric used in lyban's GD's nursery (love that room!), that would be a nice contrast.

It's going to be a great nursery. I agree with binsd that putting the crib between the door and window might work. Do you have enough room there? It would sure make it easy for you to peek in to check on her. Have you thought about making the top of the dresser a changing area? How soon as you planning to paint? I can't wait to see pictures, I hope you're having fun planning.

The site I sent you to seems to have a minimum order amount of 15 yards but you can find it at Amazon for 13.35 a yard or House of fabrics for 14.95. No minimums.

I just wanted to say that I love all the ones you've looked at, especially the Gypsy Spring. So cute! The colors are similar to what I'm using for our nursery but a bit more vibrant. (I'm using Amy Butler's Fresh Poppies in Ivory as my primary fabric--see link.) If I'd seen all these before already buying fabric for the quilt (for on the wall) I may have been agonizing even more! I can't wait to see your finished nursery...and I second the love for lyban's granddaughter's nursery. Too cute! I love the built-ins and window seat; I wish I could figure out a way to do that in ours.
