The message you are seeing at the bottom of the email (PLEASE NOTE: The member responding to your post has chosen not to reveal his or her email address. Therefore, you cannot reply to this message via email) only means that you are not able to respond by clicking reply within your email account. However, there is a way to send them a response ... go to their 'My Page' and respond to them from there. Neither of you has to unblock your email address. You do not have to respond via email. If they are set up to be able to receive email, you can respond to them from their My Page the same way they emailed you. (Below the "Message" box) CLICK "save your member profile" button You also have the choice to have your email address revealed or not revealed in your settings. I noticed something that made me change my settings ... When you email someone, if they have their email revealed, GW will automatically show you the person's email address. Just in case any spammers ever come trying to harvest email addresses, I thought it would be a good idea to change my settings. Because I use my real, work email address in GW, not a fake throwaway address. Click the first link below and you will see an example of how you can see that person's email address. Typically, when I send a private message to someone using GW, I include my email address in the body of the message, so they can respond without having to search me out using My Page. But I can still keep my email address private within my settings. I have sent a suggestion asking GW to make this message that appears at the bottom of the email more clear, because it is very confusing how they have it worded. You can send a suggestion too ... I haven't posted on any forum on GW for a long time, but this one really got to me. Not in a bad way... it just did. My cat has peed for forever...off and on. Let's see. Got him in 1995 (my roommate got his sibling). Pee'ed everywhere (beds, chairs, carpet). Moved out in 1996. Pee'ed everywhere (cats outside the window). 1997-2000. Lived in a place with no cats outside. No peeing anywhere but the box. 2000-2003. Another place with no cats. No peeing. 2003-2004- Moved to a place with cats outside. He started to pee again. Husband threatened to kill one of us! LOL. Actually not so funny. I cried almost everyday. 2004-Saw the vet, linked the history, and my cat is on prozac as of about 2 years ago. No problems since. My problem (not MY problem...my cats problem...LOL) was territoriality. Don't discount the drugs in certain situations. It's best to be open-minded. It worked for my cat. I was considering giving him away or euthanasia...didn't want to do either. This problem had seriously affected my home life, which is why I was thinking about serious solutions. I'm glad I still have my cat. I adopted him, so he became my responsibility, and I don't take that lightly. Talk to your vet. And good luck from someone who sympathizes.

hi joan, we can't see it! just to be sure... are you looking on your "My Page" or your member "profile"? - at the top GardenWeb green banner, there is the "Welcome!" in tiny letters. did you click on "YOUR PROFILE" next to it? - then it will go to a page that says "Welcome Joan2121" - scroll down to the bottom section. there is a place that reads "Show my email address to: " with a pull down button that says "None" or "Member" or "All". does it say "None"? - below it is the place to allow people to send you email via "forms". do you have this enabled? this shouldn't affect having your email visible, but just to try, disable it for now. - be sure to click "save" at the bottom sorry if you tried this, but just double checking. :)

Well, just wanted to put in this one last post on this. I did end up getting an offer on my home from the client that did see it, it was a great offer for full asking price, so I have accepted it. So, all in all, the realtor did end up getting me a good deal and I am happy to have a contract on my home now. Buyer is preapproved with 20% down, so it seems like a sound contract, I close August 28th. I still agree with you guys that the photos were bad, but its not much of an issue now :)
