Thank you, thank you, thank you. I had a lovely birthday that went on for several days. Belatedly I got a gift card for a pedicure and a gift card for our local (not chain) movie theater, both from good friends. Today is my son's birthday, so it's time to move over to make room for his celebration. I made his traditional birthday cake -- an ice cream cake. It's jelly-roll style with a light chocolate cake and mint chocolate chip ice cream. He's 36 - no kid!

Happy Birthday one day late, Pam. Better late than never, my almost, kind of close to, sort of birthday twin except another day and another year, LOL. Snails, huh? I'm with you, they're too chewy and I think of those little slimy things on the sides of aquariums, but I'm coming up on the "7 year rule", so I'll have to try again, eventually. Hubs works all weekend. The boys only have a couple days of school left before summer vacation. Today Anthony graduated Kindergarden with all A's on his report card and Tim passed his 3'rd grade year with all A's in gifted classes..soo Sunday I've planned a surprise party, just Amiee the boys and me...I'm going to let the boys make pizza and teach them how to make a boxed brownie mix. We will take a nature walk and top the evening off with Tea and brownies when Amiee and I will sing For he's a Jolly Good Fellow to them.

Going to a new hair salon today

But ded, how does your hair look??? Here, I guess it depends on the salon. There’s one I’ve gone to, they ahve envelopes. But mine is smaller, I tip directly to the stylist (ive beein seeing her for 18 years!) and the shampooer when I have her shampoo my hair. Usually I arrive wet. Sometimes there’s no shampoo girl and my stylist has washed my hair. When I lived in Dallas I finally found a stylist I loved. For a short time he had a shampoo gal who, ooh la la, really made the experience. (I’m just a cut-and-blow-dry client, so I don’t ask for much lol) One day, she was gone and my stylist washed my hair. He said they were in a budget crunch. I said, she was worth the budget!

Well this is obviously late - but it doesn't mean that you're not wished a Happy Birthday. So I hope you celebrated yesterday and today and for that matter - the entire weekend! We're having perfect weather so I hope you take advantage of it.
