My mother passed away 27 years ago, just before Mothers Day.
Hard to believe it's been that long.

My mom passed away seven years ago. She had a stroke in the wee hours of Christmas morning, never regained consciousness and died New Years Day. Seems like I miss her more with every passing year.

Here we are, in 1961.

My mother died October 31, 1991. I miss her so much. She was my champion, my rock and my friend. How I wish she'd call me up one more time - even if it's just to complain. I wish she could have seen our daughter - Mother would have sewn the most beautiful outfits for her.

My mom passed away August 2, 1982, at the age of 58. I miss her every day!

Mama passed away 3 weeks ago....I just want to skip tomorrow! But, I will celebrate it for her.

I have 200 roses bushes in full bloom outside and will walk among them all tomorrow smelling, touching and caressing all the blossoms and think of the years past that I had Mama here.

My mother died when I was 12. Four children left behind. She was a wonderful mother. I wish she could have known her grandchildren.

My mom passed away august 13th 1947,i was only 9 years old.I still cherish the few memories i do have of her.So for me it would be a white rose,and our icebergs are in bloom,so i have a lot of white roses.

I am so sorry for those of you that were so young when your Mom's passed away. I at least had Mama for 50 years and that is a lot of wonderful memories. Mama loved her family more than life herself and her 4 children was her entire life. I remember all of 6 of us together and what wonderful memories I have of growing up.

My mom passed away 1 day after her 88th birthday,Feb.21,2004.I miss her so much.She would have been totally enthralled with the new babies! She loved her family and her grands.I can still hear her say,"Cover that baby's head up" when we would take one of our babies outside,even if it wasn't windy or cold! LOL Lots of good memories.
The twin's mom lost her mother when she (DDIL) was 24.She doesn't talk about her much but the subject came up while we were there the last time.She told me how much she misses her and wished she could have seen the babies.I felt so sorry for her.It's hard not having your mother around,especially when you have little ones.

White rose here...

My mom passed away in 1951...I was 7

And another white rose for my aunt that raised me...She was my mother's older sister. She treated and loved me as if I were one of her own. She cried when I got engaged to Denny because she knew I would be leaving...LOL...I lived not 10 mins from her for the rest of her life. She never got "rid" of me...
I have a copy of her obit. right here in my computer desk...it gives the month and day but not the year...but it was about 11 years ago...I wasn't living here in the barn at that time. She didn't want me to move out here...thought it was too far away...(less than 20 mins)

Even though I wish I had more memories of my mom I had a good life. Better than most.

This will be the first Mother's Day without Mom. And since I lost my only child 3 years ago, tomorrow will be a very sad day for me. I am thankful that I had my mother for 61 years--Mom lost her mother when she was only 5 years old.

White rose for Mama - she died at the age of 53 on July 30, 1970.

This year will be my first year to wear a white rose. My mom passed away Nov 20,2008. I miss her so much.

My Mother is still living and she is going to be 96 this July. She lived alone for many years and did her own gardening and mowing until she was 92. Happy Mother's Day to all of you whether you are Mothers or not.

Mine will be a white rose. Mom passed away a few minutes after midnight Dec 26, 2005. I had prayed for her to make it until after Christmas for sister Annie's sake......my prayer was granted.

alive today she would have been 100 yrs old on March 6.
Unfortunately we bury my oldest brother that day.

My mom died in 1989, she was only 58. Of course I thought that was old at the time (I was 23) but now I realize how young she was. That dreaded cancer!

I remember wearing a red rose growing up, too, we'd all wear a red rose on our lapel before going to church on Mother's Day, mom would wear white. In fact I have a picture of that.....taken on Mother's Day probably in 1979 or 1980. I am the one on the left sitting down.

I am so blessed- my Mom is still here,and her 86th birthday is Tuesday!

I would be wearing a white rose. Mom died Febuary 23, 1957, she was 42.

White rose. I remember that tradition. My mother passed away February 24, 1997. She was 93 years old.

It's white for me, also....Mom passed June 6, 1999 and now a day goes by, I don't think of her...She would have been so proud of all the grand kids and what they have accomplished...

My dear Mother died 40 years ago, in 1969, two months after I was married.

I also remember the rose tradition. Mine is white. My mother passed away on December 28, 1989, at age 89. She was born in 1900 so would be 109 this year. My siblings & I were fortunate to have her for so long.

Red rose, but I nearly lost her on New Years Day this year. I'm so very fortunate.

Another red rose here, too, and I thank the good Lord everyday that I've got her! I remember the first time she wore a white rose to church in honor of HER mother and she looked heartbroken.
