Happy Mother's Day

Hope all of you wonderful ladies have a nice Mother's Day. Hope it will be a day of lots of hugs, kisses and smiles. ;o)

Hope you are blessed by being able to be with your children, or to at least chat with them on the phone.

If one of your children happens to be serving in the military and is unable to be with you--our thanks to both of you for your sacrifice. The mother's for raising children with courage and caring enough to fight to protect all of us and our families, and to your children for serving in such a much needed way.

Happy Mother's Day, everyone! Love the idea of wearing hats to church, Linda! Sounds as if you've have a very productive weekend. I'm excited to hear about your Simply Sixteen, as I hope to acquire one in the future. Be sure to keep us posted with a review once you get the hang of it! I've spent the last couple weeks finishing up my den remodel with moving in furniture, and rearranging furniture in other rooms. My sewing room is still in the dining room for now. With the oldest home from college, I have more muscle to move big furniture around. We have guests visiting mid-week & staying 3 nights, so my Mother's Day gift is the boys & girl mowing the yard and having the house 'company clean' by tomorrow evening. Much better than burnt toast & runny eggs from when my Littles were little! :) We're off to church, and then to visit my MIL for a bit this afternoon. Enjoy your day, y'all!

Happy Mother's Day to all! I wish I could quote him exactly, but our minister said something along the lines this morning of recognizing the countless ways that women "mother", whether they are sisters, aunts, daughters, wives, friends, or yes, moms. As one who has no biological children, that really spoke to me and made me feel truly included. I hope each of you has felt the love of those that you "mother" today as well.

My son texted me this morning and I was pretty shocked he even thought about it or knew the day. lol My daughter texted me later and offered to make me food tomorrow but she works later in the evening and so I suggested we go see a movie, on me. No movies playing that early in the day, probably because of Covid. The theaters are opening but only for a few hours in the late afternoon/evening. So we are having lunch before she goes to work. She said she felt bad that she couldn't "take me out on the town" but I told her I just wanted her company. I'm not big into all the commercialized holiday stuff anyway.

I'm not a mother but my sister and I will be celebrating the
day by taking our Mom who is almost 90 on a picnic.
Hope everyone else is fortunate enough to spend the day with
their loved ones too.

Yes, Happy Mother's Day to all my Holiday friends, and a special prayer for all the mom's whose children are serving our country. God bless them!

And my Mother's Day gift from my son was to tell us the fourth grandchild will arrive Dec 1st. A very nice surprise. The baby will have just turned 2 by then!

I hope everyone had a great Mom's Day, and yes, especially to those Moms whose children are serving in the military, my father having been a career military man and a ex-wife of a miltary man, I know the sacrifices that they ALL give.

Kathleen, what nice happy news! Congratulations.

Evelyn, how wonderful that your Mom is able to picnic with the two of you. I know all three of you enjoyed your time together. That's so wonderful.

Sandi, hope the cookout went well. I can just see you kicked back with a good book letting your guys take care of you for a change. ;o)

Sal, when is your new grandbaby due? Did you get to spend Mother's Day with your family? Hope so.

Judith, you got a "double dose" of military life, didn't you? I was a military wife too, missed many holidays with the rest of the family during those years.

Nice that we have holidays, gives us cause to pause and think about the important things in life.

I have a GD due on July 9th, so I don't know whether to do my July table in red/white/blue, or PINK :^)
Evelyn, enjoy EVERY minute that you have with your Mom!!!
Judith, I got the double dose treatment as well...grew up Navy, married Army...whew!! Plus I taught school for the Civil Service....Yikes!!

Jay, do r, w , blue and then the next week pink.
We are the old fashioned kind, never know till the baby is born if we need pink or blue!
