We're just watching The Voice
WOW!! Love the Swon Brothers! Amazing harmony.

Man, this show is show is so much better than Idol. These contestants can really sing. What caught us, is that one of Blake's girls that he coached last year sings back-up in his band.

Oh.......I wondered who that girl was that Carson greeted. This is my first year watching The Voice, and I really enjoy it.

We love The Voice! My three favorites this year are the ones left on Blake's team (Heather, from Adam's team, is my fourth choice). The Swon Brothers are terrific, and I'm sure they have a future in the music industry.

Danielle is truly amazing and it's hard to believe she is only 16 years old--she already seems like a professional. I would love to hear her do a Patsy Cline song.

I never heard of life lines before, much less adding them as an afterthought. What a great idea. I've always preferred crocheting to knitting only because it is so easy to rip out if you discover an error. When I knit, I go back stitch by stitch, row by row, and it sometimes takes hours, especially if there were some fancy pattern stitches in there. If you add the Life Line while you are knitting, it takes zero extra time and effort. You learn something new every day...and I'm really glad I learned about this today. Thanks! -Babka

I was rooting for Jake from the very beginning. I think he will make a wonderful country singer. Watching him sing with Alabama was a real treat, and you could tell that Jake was in seventh heaven. I will be very surprised if Blake does not take Jake on tour with him. It was obvious that their affection for each other was real and they are great singing together. Who knows--Jake might be the next Garth??? Josh is very good...but I'm strictly a country music gal!

I've really been enjoying everyone's stories in this thread. You can see a lot of love here! Clementine, if you tell your mom to butt out, no matter how politely you say it, it will hurt her deeply. She advises you because she loves you and wants to give to you, and she needs to feel needed. I had sort of the same problem with my mother. So I sat down and thought about how she would love to feel that she had done something nice for me. Then I did a little mental inventory of her skills, and she had no shortage of those. I wanted to sew new living room drapes, pleated. This was an area where I really would love her help. So when she was over, I took her to the fabric store with me and we picked out something pretty. Then she helped me measure and cut, I sewed, and together we hung them. It turned out to be a really nice mother-daughter time for us both. I got help with something I needed help with, and she got to feel needed and appreciated, which she was. I learned to think of things to ask her opinions and help with, and she learned to relax. Everybody won. If you think about it, maybe can you find a way to put your mom to work helping you sew, or can, or something?

Do you mean Amber, Wanda? I love Danielle and the Swon Brothers, too, and I hope they'll find success in music whether they win or not. (I think American Idol has taught us that winning doesn't always predict the future.)

I'd love to see Michelle, Sasha, and Amber do well, too. All three are awesome singers.

I'm not crazy about Holly, though, and I wouldn't mind seeing her and Sarah Simmons go home. I'm a fan of all the rest.

If anyone would like to see the people we're talking about, here are all of last night's performances. I wasn't crazy about all the song choices, but I could listen to several of them more than once.

Yeah, I forgot to mention Judith. I admire her as a musician, but I haven't really enjoyed most of her performances.

Hooray! My 4 favorites are still there! I'm sure Blake will be razzing Adam about the fact that he has 3 of the top 6 on his team. I hope Danielle or the Swon Brothers win!

I was born a country music fan (Dad was a country/western performer), and I'm so glad that more people are finally appreciating country music.
