Nancy and Lukkiirish, thank you for your kind words. I don't do much of it now, but I did enjoy designing our home and putting it together. There are still finishing touches I've not yet done which I hope to get around to. I think we all have talents we don't recognize as talents--just being able to make someone feel special, cook them a meal when they're sick, being able to encourage someone--are all talents that not everyone possesses. It's nice to hear a little of what some of you do and enjoy doing, and your talents. Stinky-gardener, it is curious that you identified your worrying and former negativity as traits that you have shed. I was exactly the same way--my family considered me a negative person, and I did not. I called myself "observant" and truly, I was. My nature was and still is, to look to make everything as right and just as it can be, and that means being observant and considering whether something can be improved. Most things can. Naturally, I was considered negative. The worrying--I think comes by us naturally, from our family or our nature. If I couldn't get my daughter to answer her cell phone, I just KNEW she was in a car accident. I worried about tornadoes, I worried about everything. Then something terrible happened which slapped me aside the head and made me realize that I truly did not have that kind of power. My husband died suddenly at a fairly young age not long after we retired and started to live the life I'd been waiting for for twenty years of marriage--finally, time together! Truly, I have been blessed to realize that I can't make everything right, that worrying does no good but saps your energy and attention that could be better put to use, and that there is beauty and edification even, in "mistakes." That is the blessing that has come from his death, if there is any, and believe me, I've had to look hard. ;) So, Stinky-gardener, I admire you for your efforts, and I'll bet you're like me, more calm, more happy, more forgiving, and more grateful. My faith has been renewed, in God, in mankind, and in myself. What a gift it is to recognize these things as we grow older, and enjoy the improvement to our lives (and probably those around us) because of that recognition.

I know she loves me more, so can you imagine, what I would have recieved. WOW!!! ??????????? "Everyone Loves Raymond LOU!" I started putting my goodies to use last night! Boy...they really come up with people that just blow you away ....don't they..

I remember when Paul Potts blew everyone away....He brought me to tears...

I went to the fourth page of these threads just to post this message today! I have really been down in the dumps since my kitty died early Monday morning. This lady lifts my spirits and gives me hope. I have watched it several times since you first posted this, cjd63. Thanks so much for posting this for us. I also think she is wonderful and seems to be such a nice lady. I would love to write her too! Susan Boyle is an inspiration to us all that no matter what your age is dreams do still come true!

I've watched that a couple of times, each time it makes me cry. I so hope she gets her dream. She is wonderful, that voice is so pure.....

They are saying the various youtube videos of this woman will have over 11 million viewers by Friday. It will be the highest viewed video on youtube if you add up the viewings for all the individual postings.

I also read that she is now staying with a friend because of all the publicity.

I have to admit when we were watching the show Sat night we thought "here we go, some strange person who thinks they can sing" but what a wonderful surprise. I'm anxious to see if they try to change her look, I'd love to see her spruced up a bit to match her amazing voice. Maybe her and Paul Potts can go on tour together.
