Comments (7)Try leaving the lid off for a few hours- with light on it just in case there are any adults! Also, paper and cardboard absorb alot of water but stay 'wet' and can get acidic. If you can get hold of any coir it's great for rescuing bins. Just don't mix it in - flake it carefully and put some of it UNDER the rest of the bedding. (It absorbs water very fast so if you mix it in, it can actually dry worms skin- bad news!!)...See MoreOne full bath vs 2 3/4 baths ?
Comments (10)Definitely a plus! As long as you have one bath you should be fine. I have two baths right now and am planning to remove one and turn it into a full shower for the convenience. Last week I tripped over a cobblestone and fell on my knee and banged it up good. Next morning I had so much trouble stepping over the tub to get into the shower. I realized that for every person who was able to get step over the tub easily to get into the shower there was most likely another person out there who would have trouble stepping over the tub and would welcome a full shower. Resale is almost something you can't measure (a bath/shower combo is not necessarily a plus to some people). So, do what you want because you cannot predict who will like your house when you go to sell it....See MoreOne bath down, one to go -- Vintage inspired guest bath remodel
Comments (105)Lovely sense of style! Bravo! We investigated porcelain marble look-alike tile but we decided on real marble which we will have to care for without any acidic products. Beware that there is a repeating pattern in marble look-alike porcelain tile like (on wall paper which will give away the secret.) We found great deals on Amazon and at Lowes for Bianco Carrara subways, pencils, chair rails and floor and shower floor hexes (1/3 the price of tile stores). We found a gorgeous remnant for our shower bench at a marble and stone shop at an amazing price. I can't wait until it's done to post photos! But back to your house... it's gorgeous!...See MoreFoyer chandeliers dilemma (2 identical ones vs 1 big + 1 small)?
Comments (3)Yeah, it was admittedly kind of tough to find examples of foyers with large-scale lights repeating down the length of the room. Nevertheless, especially with the very "airy" look of the chandelier you have in mind and how far away each of them will be from one another, I think you should be OK to use two to make a big statement!...See Morekimcoco
