First, there shouldn't be anything in the planting hole save native soil. That almost certainly is affecting water flow and saturating the root ball, which the spots on lvs might indicate. As the tree is in transplant shock, you shouldn't expect all this new growth anyway, esp not now with a likely saturated root ball. Second, you don't say how large the tree was. Likely 3x3 is not large enough, as you want minimum twice the size of root ball, not a fixed size. Third, you don't need to (over)pay some company to spray willy-nilly, esp wasting your money fertilizing a stressed tree. Cease this activity PDQ. Fourth, honeylocust doesn't like to be dug and sit out waiting, hopefully this was in a pot. Combine a B&B being unhappy with the unfortunate planting in the heat of summer and a tree being unhappy in these conditions is not a surprise. Fifth, the tree needs attention and special watering, not overspray from a lawn. Stick your finger in and see if it is getting adequate moisture, don't assume. If your little guy likes those glow in the dark stars, and you don't feel like painting all of them, you might do what I did and use these. We put these up in my little one's room when he was a few years old, on the ceiling and some high up on the walls, and he wouldn't even let me take them down when he reached his teen years. My daughter had them in her room, too! That room is a guest room now, and I've had to sleep there a few times when my husband's snoring was too disruptive, and it's cool to look up and see those stars glowing in the dark. Hi becca, I too am one who hates hunting camo. That being said, I come from a family of men who love to hunt. We also bleed purple and gold (LSU) so I combined the two feels to give him a true Louisiana boys room with a gentleman's touch while not being trendy. Again not sure if your talking Mossy Oak or Desert Storm, but this what I did in my son's room in our old home. I painted the room BM Woodstock Tan (a deep sort of brown). I bought a duvet and had a cover made from an army green colored cordouroy (sp) with wooden buttons for the enclosure (also had a sham made). I used RL leopard sheets on the bed with the Mossy Oak camo panels on the windows. What I didn't account for when making the duvet cover was the weight of the cordouroy (it is really heavy) nice in the winter, but I take it off in the summer and just use the white duvet. It lightens things up a bit (can get dirty if not careful). Also, I swap out the camo panels in the summer for white ones as well. The other camo accent that I had in that room was a portrait of him in camo with his gun from my father sitting on an old shotgun shell box. His furniture is different from that you will have as his is all antique from my grandmother's, but I am sure this can be retrofitted to match your furniture. The great thing about these colors is that they are pretty neutral so accent colors stand out well. Like the purple and gold LSU newsprints that I have matted in purple in his room and other LSU paraphanalia. Red also looks good against these colors. All of these colors and patterns may sound a bit busy, but used properly they compliment each other really well. We have since moved from this home, but I continue to use variations of this since it is something that works well with all ages and can grow with them. If you imagine a color wheel, Lime Rickey is closer to the yellow hue family compared to the other colors you've listed. Haven leans to yellow as well. All three greens you listed could be fun, just a matter of which one works best with the inspiration elements, i.e. the bean bag.
