OMG! I can't believe I did that!

I was ready to leave at the end of the day today at work when a co-worker asked me to give him a hand with a spreadsheet on the computer.

I stood over his shoulder and gave him directions on what to do. It worked fine, and he understood it enough to continue on his own so he thanked me and said "Good night".

I replied "good night" and then proceeded to bend over and KISS the top of HIS HEAD. Shocked us both right good - dead silence for a very akward and long moment. Then we both keeled over in hysterics!

OMG. I am so used to leaning over DH or DD on the computer or a kitchen chair or whatever, and always give them a kiss on the head on the way out.

Who apparently needs a little rest so she can better focus on her surroundings before she goes around kissing people's heads!

rhizo 1, Absolutely take the lesson one step further,if it prevents this from happening to others. I am ashamed to say you were right when you noted the Herbicide was in another container marked Insecticide,serves me right for being so foolish to do that in the first place. I appreciate the advice given about the soapy water and other tips.I Guess I panicked when I saw the vast amount of Aphids all over my plants.I have a large Garden and did not want them to spread all any further.

Congratulations! As Rebecca said, yes, weave in your tail. Be sure to go up and down, not side to side. Side to side will take away from the stretchyness provided by the ribbing at that point. (I once did side to side weaving on a sock where I changed colors frequently, and it really make the sock hard to get on.) Can you join at cast-on so you don't have the dip? I join by the trading stitches method. I don't know how others do it. Yes, picking up stitches for the gusset is the hardest part. I usually pick up 2 extra also. I bought double sets of needles and worked on each sock alternating back and forth so they were both done at the same time, but I have never had "second sock syndrome" where I didn't want to start the second one. He wants to play with your masterpiece, your fabulous creation!!!??? LOL! Oh well, at least he takes an interest in what Mom's doing. Tell him you'll knit him a pair to wear one of these days. Cute story.

I suspect everybody who has ever sewn has cut on the seam-line. The aggravation usually does a good job of reminding one to take care next time :) I don't know if it's any help, but I lay out *all* the pieces in place on dressmaker's tracing material. Some folks use flannel and if you make a 'quilting wall', flannel is great, but I started with material and just stayed with that because it's lightweight - and I already had it on hand. I taped 2 cardboard tubes (empty from gift paper) end-to-end making the tube about 7 ft long, and then taped one end of the tracing material to that; everything is rolled up when I'm not actually working on the project. I lay out the quilt to be sure the colors are balanced overall, but a side benefit is that all the pieces are in the right place... forgetting to cut mirror-images shows up right away.

I have my 8x10 "art Room" but thats just for a supply room!lol! I work in the dining room and living room! DH actually likes his 4 days of working 14hrs outta the house!ha! Then I try and clean up for a few days, but lately I've been so BAD! I've left stuff out as I am bugging him for moving near Cindy! to a rancher the same size but no land,(would loose 1/2acre) but has a sunroom that is 15x23!!!! DH is wanting to move to that lil town but that did not work out soo....I'm sooo bad, will I ever behave??!!!Closer to Cindy(5 min drive!!) AND a workshop, hey does it get any better???!!!!I'm sooo selfish! ha! BTW: I still am trying to get over the tittle of this post! I thought, OH NO! He(DH)is kicking her out for her mosaic addiction! (Too close to home!lol) Yup, it's an eye catcher of a post!!! heh heh!

hehe how funny! now he will start expecting it!!

Last Christmas I sorta made the same mistake. At a party at my SIL's I was standing next to relatives and friends at a breakfast bar. We were talking about hair, lots or not, if I recall correctly. I had met a college football player earlier that evening who shaved his head and to make a long story short, I ended up doing a nuggie on his bald head as he sat at the bar. I shocked myself but we were all at least laughing. Needless to say I still found myself embarrassed upon meeting him again at a graduation this month. He said he was going to join the New York Jets (as a defensive lineman I think). OMG, that's one big guy to be handing out nuggies too. I'm getting a chuckle out of it at least. Life can be so funny.

LOL! That is too funny! Now, I just have to know if you told your husband and what his reaction was. Mine would roll his eyes and chuckle if I did that.

Ohhhhhh, I can relate! LOL!

DH and I normally talk on the phone half a dozen times during the day, and we ALWAYS log off with "love ya," and "love ya too."

So he was working a deal with a guy on Craig's List for a riding lawnmower (this is a complete stranger, mind you ... calling for a mower we were selling) and they settled their negotiations and arranged a time for the guy to come over. He signed off with something like, "ok, see ya then" and DH automatically said ... LOVE YA!

He explained himself very quickly, and the guy got quite a kick out of it. He did come buy the lawnmower and when he was leaving, waved and hollared loudly ... LOVE YA TOO!

That sort of thing happened to me once when I greeted a total stranger with a hug. I could sure tell she was not use to hugs.

Yes I told DH, and he thinks it is absolutely hilarious.

Seeing as I do absent minded things like put my underwear on inside out then notice as I am changing for bed (how can I not have noticed that all day?), lose my bra somewhere between the car and the house, and have more than once come home without socks (hey, I have hot feet!) it is a wonder he trusts me at all ;).
