Open question: pdf files

The patterns to be used for the Landscape Class in September are on my work computer in a pdf file format. Does anyone have a place on the web where I can upload those two files so the members of this forum can access the patterns? I don't know that I can upload a pdf to my Picturetrail account. It may be too much to email the pdf to each person wanting to take the class - so I thought I would ask here.

I know some things about computer use, but am not as familiar with pdf files.

Thanks for any help or suggestions you might have!

I think what you need is a file sharing/backup web site. Check out the link below.

I haven't tried it, but apparently, you type in the email addresses of the people to whom you want to send the file. The the it walks you through uploading the actual file(s) it onto the web.

Then the recipients will get an email with a link in it, and they click the link to download the file.

Another one I read about that sounds good (as they SAY it does not reuqire you to install any software to use it, is http://www.box.net/individual

I don't know why you're getting that message. You don't need to buy Adobe Acrobat to read a PDF document. You can just download the free Adobe Reader. The versions of Adobe Acrobat that you have to pay for are for those who want to create fancy PDF documents. Also, there are many other free PDF readers available. The one I prefer and use is Foxit Reader, which would works at least as well as Adobe Reader and has a program only about 1/10 the size. Here is a link that might be useful: Foxit

Well one theory (read as utter guess work LOL)is that either the CD is quite old and your Adobe Reader is not backwards compatible that far back. Or right the opposite, this is a very new CD and their older Adobe only recognises part. Reading the fine print on the CD sleeve or box might give you a clue. You could download and try Foxit Reader linked below. This is a totally free program many of us use that does not have the bloat accompanying Adobe. I really need help with pdf file!

A couple of other things have happened, too. All of a sudden I lost my sound, again, and I get a message saying "Found new Hardware" but it can't find a driver to install. Then my printer stopped printing and I get a message saying "Could not find Post Script Interpreter defined in your settings. Check your settings under Advance options.... applications." Has my computer been fried or is it something I've done and can be fixed? I did a restore system yesterday back two weeks but it's still not right. Again, thanks in advance.
