You're not alone, Penny. When Adelphia service was taken over by Time Warner, I had incredible problems, with no service for big parts of the day on a regular basis. My business depends on reliable internet connection for not only email, and internet access but to send and receive large drawing files. My phone service is also through the internet so when the cable goes down, I am dead in the water. (Nothing to do but go out and work in the garden.) I just moved over the last few weeks and thought I was going to be in trouble since there is no cable out in this remote part of the Adirondacks, but I was surprised that high-speed DSL was available and I find the connection speed to be acceptable, even for VOIP. And it hasn't gone down even once since I've been here. Of course, you can't watch Wheel Of Torture and other mindless TV junk over the DSL line. Wayne

Google Docs will allow you to upload files & choose who can view them (easiest for your purposes is to allow anyone to whom you give the URL). It's more indirect for folks on the forum trying to look since they have to click on a link, but there would certainly be better resolution than most JPG's. there are many really good useful screen capture free programs out there, bobs link to those at gizmo provides several of the top choices. Many have the editing stuff all built in to them. On my linux I have one called ksnapshot which is so easy to use wish they had just that item for windows. On windows I have used a few including the gadwin program and I have used this one Screenpresso logo and the picpick one mentioned at the gizmo site. I had no idea the pdf select tool would not work on some items. That is strange. on the ones y'all tried it on had you actually saved the pdf file to your pc or were you viewing the pdf file from the online site? just wondering if that would make any difference. I have never encountered that problem.

I use pdf xchange also and really like it, I have never had that problem, it sounds like you may have somehow got a trial version of the pay for one. Here is their forum you can check there to see if they have an answer there already or post yours there. Tracker Software this right here from their user manual is what makes me think you got the pro version trial "When you install an evaluation copy of PDF-XChange all output is generated with 2 watermark stamps on each page signifying that the PDF file was generated with a 'demo' version - once you have purchased your 'live' copy you must enter the Serial number provided to ensure that all future output is free of these evaluation watermarks. If you have not installed the demo version you should do so now using the link in your Purchase confirmation or from:" ohh ok I found this info it seems it is a bug and tracker has this info on how to fix this issue "it is a bug in the plugin.
