All I can say is WOW!!! Can't wait to show this to my daughter and SIL. Their kitchen looks like your old kitchen.

I was going to put beadboard on the back, and paint it. But, started to look like a beadboard factory threw up all over my kitchen, hehehe.

I've been waiting for this one! It looks GREAT! The beefed up moulding really makes a difference too. At first glance I didn't notice the two different color cabinets. I think it will look good if you give it more contrast though. How did you end up making out with the painter and the doors? There was a problem there with him messing up? How do you feel about the grain? Can you really see it? Pat yourself on the back. :)

Yea, the painter broke a drawer..and needed to fix it and bring it back. Then, I realized two of the lower doors were the wrong color. And he'd used newspaper between the doors..and the comics and ads bled onto the paint. UGH! He had them back in a few days, but forgot the drawer!! Brought it to me. And forgot the track!! Nightmare! But, he made it all right in the end.
Yes, I can see the grain. I can also see where some areas the paint has seeped into the deeper grain, leaving slight holes and stuff. It's not a perfect finish. But, I'm really happy with it. It's sort of a character thing :) I thought I'd hate all that, but it looks good.

I'm not sure if I'm going to go with a darker shade of what I did on lower. Or just go completely different. Like a gray/blue. Then do white for resale. We'll see.

Momto4boys, I just saved a picture of your kitchen to help me when I am ready after a few more deadlines. Maybe I can have someone paint my cabinets to look like yours. Can you give some details on the paint color used, the finish (satin?), the hardware information since the handles and knobs look great, where you bought the crown molding type of trim for the top of the cabinets (I want to remove my soffits and will need some molding), information on your subway tiles, and your new wall color that really adds to your new beautiful renovated kitchen.

All I can say is "Night and Day".

Beautiful transformation! I don't think i'd go with blue/gray for the bottom cabinets. I'd stay with a warm tone so as not to compete with the warm tones of your counter and floor.

Love it!! I know after painting my cabs - I will just be in the kitchen and say to myself...."I am so glad I had these painted!" The glass fronts look amazing with your dishes & cannisters. Love the raised mouldings & beadboard. You must be pleased as punch!!

I love the way the cabinets look now in the pictures sent. I would not repaint the bottom cabinets but leave them the creamy white.

Someone asked what your counters were and now I am curious also.

What color grout did you use on your subway tiles for the backsplash? Are the tiles glossy and are the white ones? What size are they? I really love the changes so much. I am so tired of my oak laminate cabinets. I wish I was done but deadlines but I am not so I have to wait before making more changes to my kitchen but I will do the changes this year if I can.

I did similar facelift to my kitchen last year and I got rid of all my clutter on top of the cabinets too. I loved the new clean look for a long time, but after awhile I decided it needed just a touch of something. I ended up putting some silk greens just in the corners. So far I like it.

Isn't it amazing how much white cabinets brighten up the space. My kitchen always seemed dark, now it feels bright all the time.

Your wall paint color looks just like my new dining room color (BM Honeymoon).

To answer to counter question, it's just laminate. Wilsonart high def...bella noche was the color.

And Lynn, I'm not sure about the grout..sorry. We did the backsplash last yr, and I can't remember anything about it. Other then we got the tiles (cheap) at Lowes.
4X4..guess they're glossy. Not a matte, for sure.

When it comes time to re-do the lowers, a grey blue would be lovely and I honestly don't think you'd have to do a thing for re-sale.
