Sunday dinner with DS was most delightful.

shrimp quiche was devine
Kalua pork served in a Hawaiian sweet bun with good swiss slice and au jus hit the spot
Loved the baked sweet potato steak fries with pumpkin spice and chili, but DS isn't crazy over sweet potatoes
AK cole slaw was a hit as usual
Big disappointment in the $8.95 per slice (serves 2 plus) from Joe's, Italian cream cake

And the center piece was a beautiful bouquet of flowers DS bought at Fresh Market.

Delightful Mother's Day.

Sounds like a perfect day. I think we'd all like to have our child all alone for just one day. Not that I don't like my SIL and GS but I'd love a day with my Terri!

Yep, I don't see him often, and to have time with him, alone, made for a perfect visit.

dinner is cooking now. Sumac chicken, and instead of pita, I'm making brown rice. MMMMMMmmmmm I just put it in, and it smells yummy already.

I had ground turkey w/gravy, potatoes, and creamed corn.

Patti, I remember years ago my ex mom-in-law said about her youngest son/wife: "She's very good to me, and does a lot for me. But if just once a month, she'd let me have my son alone for an hour, she'd make my day". She didn't say it in a mean/bad way, just a little sorrowful.

We went to our oldest daughters for a cookout, had grilled steak, salad and baked potato. Had to cook on the carport because of the rain. Turned out to be a bonus trip, my son-in-law and i were walking around part of their property and we saw a huge swarm of bees hanging from a dogwood tree. I hurried home and got my equipment and was able to get most of the swarm. I brought them home and got them in a hive just at dark. I think the way they acted they were a wild swarm. A little bit aggressive. His property is up in the mountains here in East Tn. Will know more about them tomorrow. Sorry for the long post.
