What's for dinner Friday?

This was our spend $$$ day. Our dishwasher isn't cleaning anymore. The bottom dishes get so-so clean, but the top ones not at all. We've been washing them by hand since the kids left, but enough is enough. I searched on-line and in the sales ads and found one we wanted at Lowe's. It is very quiet and hopefully it will clean the dishes. Then the guy called from Lowe's and they had given me the wrong paperwork (the store's instead of customer's) so I will drop back by and return it in a few minutes. He was so grateful--said his butt would be in a sling if he didn't turn it in at 10 tonight! LOL! Then we did our weekly grocery shopping. I'm tired and my feet hurt! So on our way home we're going to pick up a pizza sub from Subway.

What are you having tonight--and I hope you had a "funner" day than we did. I hate spending money.

I have no idea what to eat for supper. I had a can of sardines in mustard for lunch. burp.

Think we will do a homemade pizza tonight. Patti, I have to tell you I had creamy bleu cheese dressing on my salad last night so I don't think I saved any calories! Why do you need to lose 18 pounds by July 4 2013?

Kayjones: I'll take one of each. Haven't had either one in a long time. Sue: You do eating right by not eating a full meal when you're only hungry for a banana. I'd have to add it to a bowl of oatmeal. lol The bananas haven't looked good in my area lately so haven't bought any for about a month. Jasdip: Your entire meal sounds like something I'd like to try. I'll take a small amount of each. Mary: What did you put in your shells? Ravencajun: I like your kind of soup. I often do that myself. Bigack, beans and cornbread is one of my favorite meals. Sometimes I make the bread-like dumplings and pour the beans over a big ole dumpling. So good! Mary, I sure hope you weren't out there helping clean up the damage from last night. Not sure how your PT would feel about that. Walnutcreek, when I can't decide, sometimes I make an fried egg sandwich. Fast, easy cleanup and it fills the tummy. Hounds, it sure sounds good. I saw a recipe today on pinterest for a soup similar only it had smoked sausage and white beans with the greens. Enjoy! Matti, now see. Last night you were dreading WW and it went well. Congratulations! I know how hard it is to lose even 5 pounds.

Marilyn3444 - thank you so much for the recipe. I'll make it soon. I spent the better part of the day prepping for and traveling to and from the hospital for a CT scan. Very chilly and rainy here. Took some pork and kraut I made last month out of the freezer and heated it in the oven. Pan roasted the rest of the "Tiny Potatoes" I got at a Trader Joe's earlier in the week. We had some crusty rolls and whole grain mustard with it all. I'm very tired. Have to wait until Tuesday to hear what is causing this pain. It's hard not to worry.

Marilyn, are you building a new barn "from scratch"? That's quite a job. Your dinners sound good and I'm sure Jody appreciates them. I am going to make your cake with the candied fruit in it this year for sure. I bought the fruit quite a while ago. Hope it's still good, although I can't see how it could go bad. Raven, LOL! Harry used to call his lab work visiting the vampires, too. That shrimp po-boy sure sounds yummy. Shirley, I think asked you about your sisters before--I have 5 also. I have one brother, too. Yeah, I'm not big on sauerkraut, but that's just me. Alisande, the recipe sounds good and the picture looks good. Did you like it? I think I'd like it on rice better than mashed potatoes.

I have ham sandwiches with Swiss cheese, potato chips, broccoli Alfredo, and chocolate chip cookies. Fresh iced tea for some too. Some of the kids are coming out to work in the garden and yard :)

My main meal was chicken livers, potato, and remainder of green beans.

I had a frustrating day. Last one was: Several yrs ago my phone company sold out its landlines. People who had DSL with old company have done nothing but complain about them. I don't so it's been fairly smooth transition. Until now. I didn't get my phone bill. When I called, I was told I was now on online bill pay. I had done NOTHING and had been told nothing. Long story shorter, they had used my username/ID from old company (I didn't have online paying with them either, just for general info) and set me up with online paying. I was the one who finally figured it out. Supposedly, it has now been taken care of.

Can you believe that in the middle of NOT fixing me, they tried to sell me a different pkg than what I have? Can we say Grrrrrr......

We were going to go to Bonefish tonight but I'm just too tired. Walked 18 holes of golf, had a meeting with our catering service to set up a golf luncheon for a tournament next month and then went to two grocery stores plus T;J. Maxx. I made some curried chicken salad, and that's what we're having.

Glenda, I need to Google braised white beans with rosemary. They always sound so good.

Sue, as usual your dinner sounds so good. I can almost taste the ham sandwiches. Are you still planting or did you get that all finished?

Shirley, is that legal for them to set your account up without your permission? It just doesn't sound right to me. So how have they been getting paid? Or do you owe for a couple of years?? BTW, got any chicken livers left over?? ;-)

Good grief, Georgysmom. I would be in bed if I was you. You had a busy day. I made curried chicken salad earlier in the week. I love the taste of curry, don't you? We need to go to Bonefish. I have two gift cards! Is the Bang-Bang Shrimp really good? I usually get the coconut shrimp. And always the Caesar salad!!

Patti: I don't think it's legal for them to set it up without my knowledge. I'd gotten a couple of emails, telling me I could now view my acct online, and pay online. I get a physical bill in the mail, and send it with my ck in the mail. I had all mail from them for at least 6 months, and the ONLY thing mentioned was IF I already had bill pay set up, I could now start paying it there. When I kept questioning the young man today, he was very evasive. I double checked online to make sure they didn't have my banking info (from my cks they'd been getting) and there was none there. I'm tired of having to watch my back all the time.

Shirley, that sounds like what our phone company is doing.
All the customers that get the internet through them will now have to go to online billing. If we want a paper bill they'll charge $2 more per month for the service. I do pay online, but I always like getting the bill in the mail.

I hate being forced to do things.
We just snacked for dinner. Picked up some Virginia unsalted peanuts in the red skins while we were at the Bulk Barn. Going to use them in Peanut Buster Parfaits since we have ice cream and chocolate syrup.

Patti, the bang bang shrimp is very good and their mussels are fabulous. Right now, they have soft shell crabs which I've been having a craving for and no, I'm not pregnant! LOL

I had raisin bran and DH put some leftover chicken in a salad and had chicken salad! lol I don't feel good....
