Chose Lloyd's for half plate fried dark chicken, thigh and leg, with tossed salad and plain baked potato.

Got the salad, and waited 30 minutes. Longer than usual. Waitress was busy talking with the other help, and finally noticed me sitting there, as she was headed out the door for a smoke. She never came to check up on me, until I got up and said I was leaving and to cancel the order.

Bruesters for scoop of chocolate lovers trash, and then Dollar Tree for a jar of pb.

We're having a tossed salad and a pizza (pepperoni, peppers, onions) from stuff I have in the fridge.

We live in a remote place with a seasonal economy. In high summer we don't even try to battle the crowds for a restaurant meal. This time of year, a lot of places close to us are shut until next year. I cook almost all of our meals at home. Not always happy about it.

Have felt rather puny today so just fixed some chicken noodle soup and crackers this evening.

Warm, sunny day today. We're in for warmer temperatures and rain over the weekend.

We did groceries, and hamburger, sour cream, and lettuce was on sale. So taco salad was on the menu, along with some garlic bread. Tis was good!

It was 38 this morning, a heat wave. Rained this afternoon & more Sun.

Good day to do more fall cleaning as it does not matter doing windows when it rains. I just take a room that the windows are dry. I love having tilt in windows.

Dinner for hubby was orange roughy fish & a toss salad. I had pasta.

It was a decent day here in OH, sun was out a lot, got up to low 50s.

Supper tonight was homemade beef barley soup with crackers.

I had a few frustrations today too, but the weather wasn't one of them! Absolutely beautiful...AGAIN. It takes a little effort not to take the wonderful weather here in Colorado for granted.

Meat loaf with bacon cooked on top, mashed potatoes, peas, and dinner rolls. Was good!

It wan't suppose to rain until the p.m. but the weatherman was wrong again. Started to drizzle after about five holes of golf. We finished the front nine and decided to spend the rest of the day shopping. Had a late lunch (early dinner). I had eggplant Parm. It was very good. The ladies want to catch up on all their shows tonight, most of which I do not watch, so I shall read my book.

Also had a gloomy, damp day. Had to cut my gardening chores short for a small shower. Going to a church singing tonight where finger foods will be served so I only had peanut butter and crackers to hold me until then.

Glenda, nice way for a restaurant to lose customers, huh? You aren't doing so good this week--that's two days in a row for bad dinners. At least yesterday, you got dinner!

Seagrass, your meals are likely more tasty than restaurant meals anyway. But it is nice not to have to cook all the time.

Sue, sure hope you feel better. I bought some Alka-Seltzer Plus cold med. in case I feel a cold coming on. It works well for me. Chicken soup always helps, too.

Jasdip, I was able to eat three saltines with ham salad on top! Woohoo!! Also ate a mug of noodle soup. Of course, I'd rather have your taco salad :-( Isn't it nice to see the sun shining?

Mary, I bet 38 did feel like a heat wave after that 19 you had the other morning. I'm waiting until next week to clean. The house stays pretty clean since I'm not cooking.

Shirley, I need to make some beef barley soup. It sounds delicious. Glad you had sunshine--it feels so good in the winter. (Guess it isn't winter yet, though.)

Jean, you're doing really well with your low-carb meals. You're a saint to fix your DH mashed potatoes when you can't eat them!!

Aw Hellion, I'm waitin' for the day I can eat bacon. I think I'll just fry up a whole pound and have at it :-)

Georgysmom, I forgot you were in Florida with your GF's. Sure wish you had better weather, but I just know you're having a great time anyway. I'll say a prayer to the weather gods for nice, sunny, warm days the rest of the week.

We had Cajun tilapia, saffron rice & lemon dill potatoes...yes a high carb meal, But DH wanted saffron rice & dd wanted lemon dill potatoes. It was yummo!!!!
