Nothing one bit fancy here tonight. I made mac and cheese, steamed broccoli, had a cup of beans I'd cooked yesterday, topped it all off with a pumpkin muffin from the freezer. Shouldn't have added that as it made me cross the line to being full.

Our weather has been beautiful too. I did have to turn on my window ac a while ago. Just a tad bit uncomfortable.

Just wanted to add that I really enjoy what people from around the KT world are eating. I eat plain so a lot of items posted here, I've never heard of or at the least, tasted.

I just finished up a ham and cheese sandwich and some iced tea. Had a rather big lunch with some of the kids here. Beautiful weather today, sure could use some rain though.

I enjoy reading it too, Shirley. It also gives me ideas for meals in the future. I have the hardest time trying to figure out our weekly meals. Some weeks I don't even bother!

It was hot here. I made a taco salad (one of our favourite dishes) and invited a friend for dinner. I also made more rhubarb muffins and stewed rhubarb this morning. All in all a great diner, and she loved every bit of it.

All you meals sound delicious to me. Tonight we are having hamburgers with the works and a salad on the side.

Pam, I think you were warmer than we were. The chicken was very good but what a mess in the kitchen. And of course my dishwasher isn't working, but Harry kept them pretty well under control. The salad was a little over the top with the chicken--a simple salad would've been better. Too many flavors going on. I'd just as soon had your stir fry!

Ravencajun, you're brave to go for groceries on Sunday. Our Publix is always crowded, but it's even worse on Sunday since working people are doing their shopping then.

Jasdip, my mother always stewed rhubarb. Rarely did anything else with it except for an occasional pie.

Nita, you'll be leaving on vacation soon, so if I don't "see" you before then, have a safe trip and have fun! I'd love a good hamburger on the grill.

I had my neighbor over for home made pea soup with crusty french rolls and butter. Then we had Purple Cow ice cream while watching Downton Abby on the DVR. It obviously wasn't as warm here as in other parts of the country or I wouldn't have made soup.

BBQ chicken and a big pot of green beans with new potatoes. DH was a very happy camper!

My friend's son had his 1st Communion today and they had a little party afterwards at their house. She made big pans of lasagna, bread and salad. I was stuffed, so I was barely hungry for dinner, just picked a little. She even sent us home with leftovers so DH had some more for dinner. Yeah!
