I have never heard of such a thing either. Seems impossible. It could be a problem with the model since two in a row did it. Here's what I'm thinking happened: CH4 (from the cable) is too strong for the receiver section, overdrives it, the chroma gets stripped out leaving only the perfectly clear B&W. OR CH4 (from the cable) is too weak, the chroma section cannot get a lock, and only a fuzzy B&W picture shows. Here's a simple test. Assuming your original test with your VCR was with the VCR set to CH3, change your VCR to output on CH4 and then view TV again to see if all channels are normal or B&W. I'm betting the problem will be gone and all channels viewed through the VCR to the TV on CH4 will be fine. That would suggest the cable signal is the problem and you need to address that.

I liked it, too. I was cleaning the kitchen, but caught most of it. I thought the courtroom histrionics were a bit much, but the storyline had some things to recommend it. And I loved her line (to the gang member) that went something like, "God forbid you plagiarize my family." LOL But it conflicts with Castle? I love Castle. Uh-oh......

Most ratings are now measured as Live +3, so if you watch your DVR's within 3 days of the first airing your viewing will count with the ratings. I don't pretend to understand the advertiser's demo specs, but the bottom line is the networks have to pull in enough ad revenue to offset their licensing fees, per episode. If it doesn't pay for them, they can't afford to continue to license the product. We don't like cancellations either, but it's the nature of the beast. HBO is one of the most prolific and expensive producers at the moment (GoT). Their inventory capital is primarily provided by subscription fees. Streaming and downloading are, AFAIK, funded through subscription sites or pay per view. Those fees replace the advertising revenue stream. The 15/16 season looks heavy on new medical and crime shows. Not much new in half hour sitcoms that I can see. Sorry your favorites are gone- we don't like to see them go either :(

We're just finishing up on the 6th and I believe the final season of Parenthood. I'm shocked that we were so interested in this one. The acting has been very good, quite emotional at times and these people can really cry. When done we will be doing Frankie and Gracie? Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin. From there, I'm not sure.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank NBC for canceling Harry's Law. There is now absolutely no reason to watch NBC.

Harry's Law was one of the best shows out there. Why do the good shows always have to be canceled?

I really hate to see Harry's Law go, but I'm very glad to see Parenthood still on the line up. I've been waiting to find out if Parenthood had been canceled. Thanks Jasdip.

Parenthood is the only thing worth watching. I loved Harry's Law too but they didn't ask me before they canceled it.

I love Parenthood. Maybe Harry's Law will be back after football season, that's what they did this year.
