Went to a Chinese buffet for lunch, my eyes were bigger than my stomach. Still not feeling all that hungry for supper. Probably will snack later on though.

This morning it was 34 here in TN, broke all kinds of records. Sun was out so we had to go to work.
Patti come over & I will make the dinner & dessert, I love to cook & bake.
Hubby had fish & a salad, for me it was my good old shells.

Great 1st annual water aerobics picnic!
30 came and lots of great food.

Adam, our pool directior, grilled lemon pepper and bbq sauce chicken tenders.

I surprised him with the apron and hat. He was a tad bit pleased.

I took the day off so tonight was all leftovers. Split pea soup, and a sandwich made of pulled chicken, onions, tomato, and lettuce.

It was 30 here in my part of Ohio this morning.... will probably be close to that tonight too.

I picked up one of the fresh made deli pizzas at the grocery store last night to cook for dinner tonight.

We had baked chicken, mushroom sauce and mashed potatoes. Fresh blueberry cobbler. Glenda, you seem to always have so much fun. Patti, I know bone spurs are painful, but sure glad Harry's problem isn't related to diabetes. Very cold and windy here.

Cheryl and I went into town and after running errands we stopped at Mr. Happy Burger. I got the breaded tenderloin sandwich combo. The sandwich was so big I only could eat half of it and I did not eat all the fries. The vanilla Coke was good.

Oh, Schoolhouse, that always happens to me. I love Chinese food and think I'm taking just a little dab of this and that. Ha! Used to be an old saying that you were hungry an hour after eating Chinese food. Sure not true in my case!

Mary, we're supposed to be down into the 40's tonight. Isn't this the whackiest weather? I'd be delighted to come for dinner any time :-)

Glenda, your planning paid off. 30 is a lot and it surely does sound (and look) like a good time. Nice of you to outfit the chef!

Shirley, good for you for taking the day off! I do that probably more than I should, but no apologies here. Everything that needs to be done will still be there tomorrow. Or even worse, need to be done again tomorrow! Sometimes we just need to relax and regroup!

Raven, I've never seen premade pizzas in the deli. Just frozen, which taste like cardboard to me. Maybe I haven't looked hard enough. I'll ask--that'd be easier. They have the toppings and everything on, right?

Just got through eating and it was yummy. Had pinto beans, meat loaf, cole slaw, and cornbread. A brownie for dessert.

Pam, I'd love some mashed potatoes. And a little fresh blueberry cobbler would be very much appreciated ;-) You've been a busy bee in the kitchen today!

Sue, I'm envious of your breaded tenderloin and vanilla coke. My sister posted a picture on Facebook of the biggest tenderloin I've ever seen. I can't wait for our reunion in Indiana this summer. Although, my homemade breaded tenderloins are pretty darned good.

Wow, Walnutcreek, you've been doing a lot of cooking today, too. And it all sounds delish!

We are in Cape Cod for a few days. We have had a couple of days of rain and colder temps. Tonight we had steamed rice, bulgogie and carrots.

We've had cooler temps the past couple of days........snow flurries and frost overnite.

I made roast beef yesterday and today I turned it into shepherd's pie.
I always make shepherd's pie using ground beef but I cut the roast into small pieces and used that. It was okay, hubby really liked it. I'll cook the veggies longer next time, and jazz the flavour up more, but overall it was a filling dinner. A purchased cherry pie for dessert with our tea.

The weather was very nice here yesterday. Today was beautiful, but a little cool for May. We've had a cool spring. By this time last year I'd been wearing my summer clothes for about a month.

Tonight I'm just having fish & a salad. DH is on his way to Chicago for a business trip.
