Ongoing quest for the perfect blue paint?

I'm still trying to find paint in the color I see in my mind for my laundry room. I received a Horchow (or horhouse, as DH refers to it) "Garden" mailer today. Page 13 shows a window frame painted in a color very, very close to what I want. Can anybody who has that catalog suggest a paint brand and color to try? I'm wondering about EK Giverny Blue. Anyone? Pulleeeeease? I've ruled out F&B Lulworth, Chinese Blue, and Cook's Blue.

Do you have C2 paint near you? I wanted a blue for some exterior doors, like the blue you see in France. It was before EK GBlue was available. I used C2 Swallowtail.

Have you seen RH's Atmosphere? Here are a few pics. I tried to get shots with different light, not so sure I succeeded. It really is pretty, much more so in person.

Sweeby, I enjoy both the looks too. Either or works. Actually one of the probs with this room is the camera/photographer lol! It has a lot more "life" and warmth than it appears to sometimes. Lori has to turn the overheads on, use her flash probably and her batteries always seem to be dying...snort. None of those things help a room look it's best. I love the scale of the art over the FP; what you're not seeing normally are Lori's vaulted ceilings. Without a vertical accent to reach up into that space, it would have the look of a flat panel TV over an FP...flattened, squatty looking. And I think the width is just fine. With the height required AND more width, it would simply overwhelm what is not a large space. It's taking up about 2/3 of the FP width and that's a good ratio. Combined with the plant etc, it fills up the space nicely. I think art should be about about choosing what you love to look at and what helps create a certain mood vs choosing something for the sake of certain colors...to me anyway. As far as the colors,I love the warmth of this room...it's cozy, subtle with color and textures. I'm not into bright colors myself anymore as I "get on". I find them jolting and distracting...especially in a room where you're watching TV/reading etc.

A bit under the weather, but trying to catch up. What is still in the running? Michele has said no or only a simple liner as a modern element, right? That means no Imola, correct? I liked some of their glassy-looking liners like Broccato *B, Nuance 1T. I guess the milk glass and metallic glasses are out, too. I like the Wyndam, but it does skew traditional, which goes with the hardware, although is a bit in conflict with the granite. The crushed glass decos (Sonoma at Tues, 10/14@1:34, Encore Precocious, etc.) can go more modern, but I believe they've been ruled out? Plain diagonals work, but aren't much of a statement and I don't see them as looking like the were meant to be rather than a default. As for colors, I'm to the point where I would need to see them IRL before commenting further. I am pretty sure I understand the colors of your granite, but not those of the tiles. I like the way this backsplash changes with light reflection and texture but appears to be all the same color. What do you think of this? I don't know what it is. Mayflowers which photo are you referring to? One of them was taken on the island, one on beverage area, and another on range wall. I guess I'll be starting a new thread soon. I used SW Crystal Clear in my DR. It's unfinished, but I love the color. Very soft. For my laundry room, I used SW Hinting Blue...I love this color too! It looks perfect in my south-facing laundry room. Light, airy, fresh. I also used it in my north-facing guest room and it looks totally different...more of a true blue...not as light and airy, but still pretty!

I don't have pictures yet but I just painted my master bedroom in SW "Breezy", tweaked just a bit to enhance the blue color. It is really nice -- a mellow blue/gray with a hint of green. Very relaxing!

Hey KD -- have you tried contacting the Horchow publisher? Sometimes they can identify the designers who put together the rooms/photo layouts, and the designer may recall the paint used. Also, what about taking the page from the mailer to your local paint store (BM?) and having it paint-matched in a finish you like?

Thanks, all. Horchow has never been able to answer a question of mine, so I don't even bother anymore. No local BM out here. Little local anything, which is usually the way I like it, although not always. I like the silvery blues, but I need more depth in the utility room (green!!! cabinets). There's no C2 nearby, but I have to venture into Houston again in a couple of weeks to pick up some chairs being re-caned, so I will check out Amy's suggestion then. In the meantime, all suggestions welcomed.
