Take a look at Restrained Gold as well, if you want to go a bit deeper than the curtains. My office building used RG in the atrium and it is beautiful color

We used Blonde in most of our public areas. These are not very recent but you'll get the idea. We love the way it changes with lighting and time of day

Every time I see Blonde, it looks different. It seems to have a lot of yellow. I think the Restrained Gold might have more of a Dijon mustard/ochre coloring to it.

I agree, it does look to have lots of yellow, but I like that.

Yet the card I have doesnt show any yellow. It matches my drapes.

This is the picture in my dining room, and I like the color on the building. I saw some colors that are close to it, but I would want a tad lighter, it also blends with the color in my kitchen.

Love the pumpkin/terracottas! I have SW Truepenny in our office and I love it! We did the trim and french doors in Jasper, whic is a DARK green that usually reads almost black. And yes-the blonde definitely comes across as gold-ranges from soft tan/gold to a deeper Tuscan gold depending on time of day and light

I went with SW Blonde in the main area of our home... and I absolutely hated it when I saw it. It was too yellow.. but now that I am getting use to it, I like it and I am okay with it. However, we did our master Bedroom in SW Dromedary camel, and that I love. It is VERY close to Blonde, but less yellow.

I am happy to say that after 2yrs of toting a sample of both Blond & Restrained Gold around my house that I have finally found 2 rms to use them in. They are both going to be in SE facing rms. I didn't think I'd ever find a place to use them since the color is so chameleon like. I don't have pics yet but I love the Restrained Gold & it looks way more on the tan side in my office as opposed to the yellow or green tones it took on in other rms. of my house dependent upon the light exposure of that rm.

Princesssusan--I was in search of "that color" too! I think I tested about 25 varying shades/versions of that color. My favorites, though quite different from each other were BM 'Audubon Russet' (but too dark for where I was going to use it--a basement room) and Laura Ashley 'Spice' (you can find a paint chip at Lowe's), which won out, matched in SW paints. 'Spice' is what I call a "dusty pumpkin" color. The 'Audubon Russet' would more probably match the color of the building in your picture as it's a dusty brownish brick color. When I tried lighter "versions" of AR, they were too pink, according to my husband.....so that's why we ended up with a lighter, but more orange, color. On my monitor, the upper left paint chip you have looks similar to my 'Spice'.

I'm about ready to give my kitchen a paint job, and the first color my husband suggested was 'Spice', and after trying other samples, I think it will be used there too.

By the way, I'm a HUGE 'Blonde' fan and would like to use it in my kitchen, but I don't know how well it would go with gray (color of my countertops) or the soft smokey gray of the walls in the adjacent great room.

The walls are SW Ivoire, the ceiling insets; restrained gold. Blonde, if I am remembering right, is between the two on the color card.

I want to thank you all for the advise, pics and just helping me out.

Looks like I am going with the SW Blonde or Restrained Gold, maybe just mix the two.

Tomorrow night I will be purchasing the paint. So I still have another night and day if anyone wants to change my mind. LOL

If you are hesitating, go with Dromedary Camel....its a little softer, not as yellow....its also my favorite color:) You really should go buy the $5 sample quarts and paint some squares on the wall. You are going to repaint anyways, so you might as well invest $15 and test the paints. Then you will know for sure:)

I agree with gk5040. I'm glad you are getting closer to a decision. I think either the Blonde or the Restrained Gold would look fabulous in your house and goes so much better with your kitchen than the other colors you were considering. Hang in there, you've almost done it!!!!

I too agree with gk5040 - if I could have repainted the main areas I would now choose Dromedary Camel after seeing it on our master bedroom and bath (photo is NOT good, shouldn't' have posted it as it not true to color). The "yellow" is toned down.. but a beautiful golden beige. I don't 'hate" the SW Blonde we have now (gasped when I first saw it!) I just think Dromedary Camel is a bit nicer... at least in my home!
