I have I heart radio on my Kindle. Can you suggest some talk shows to listen to? No politics, just some general interest topics being discussed.

Topping a pepper causes marked increase in horizontal growth, creating a more squat plant that resists wind damage. It seems the Spot can keep the clock face lit all the time (don't have one, though). I am nearly in the same situation as you though I use a clock to show the time. We have the funds but since the furnace is still working fine, we just never thought up upgrading it. We have a baby soon and dont want to spend money we dont have to right now. Its a very legit auction- its an iHeart radio (FM radio company) auction- Basically the company gets radio/tv advertising when they put up something. This heating/ac company put up AC units with install- My auction that I went went for $1,000... iHeartRadio pockets that money gives the AC/Heating company $5,000 worth of advertising. The AC/Heating company could careless what the auction went for. I have bought furniture, lawn care and more from these auctions over the years and its worked out great. This particular AC/Heating company probably had 20-25 different items up, so it seems like they are trying to get lots of advertising money.

I listen to I heart when my radio guy is pre-empted by sports. He doesn't usually talk about politics in the evenings (he is on in the mornings too)....I just go to 740 am in Houston and click on Michael Berry.

I don't know what stations are on I heart, but look for Ronn Owens, 9-12 Pacific Time from San Francisco on KGO 810. Some politics, but lots of other things, and he's very middle of the road in his politics.

Best talk radio over all is probably NPR, however you can get it.

NPR is my favorite. You never know what you will learn. This afternoon it was in uteri cannibalization by baby sand tiger sharks. Really wasn't planning on expanding my horizons in thar direction today, but it held my interest. This morning was the death penalty debate on the Diane Rheem show. Balanced coverage at least from my side. Some evenings, it is classical music and others are short stories. I only rarely get mid-day programming, but it is usually good too.

Another vote for NPR. All sorts of great conversation on a wide range of topics. You can even listen online as your play on the computer. You can use the link below to find your own local NPR staion or you can listen to any from across the country. Our Kids live in TX but our SIL listens to MI Public Radio every afternoon. NPR...Keeps you smart!

I am not sure if you can get this show on I heart or not but it is a very good talk show. The host Charley Jones is a very very dear friend of mine, his wife and I go way back to our college days. He has been doing radio for years and is really good at it.

... but I'm addicted to our national radio - www.cbc.ca, and I follow Radio One.

A lot of interesting stuff - food for the mind, plus some fun, science, ideas and a variety of things.
