I had a *complete* pet peeve with one set of grills on my front windows. I paid extra to have beautiful black aluminum clad windows with 1/3rd-2/3rds grills and when they arrived I discovered the kitchen one was 1/2-1/2! I was DEVASTATED! It's the first thing you see and made the house look completely mismatched! You could just see the flaw. And it looked dumb in the kitchen too, as the grills came down into your viewing space. I was so sad. And because it was in the order sheet this way (I triple checked sizes but didn't notice the grills stupid me), there was no warranty :( I called the window company but the cost to change them was supposed to be really high because it's labor intensive. I'm a young, single woman building her first house with NO sub contractors (just ma dear ol'dad), so it just wasn't in the budget. ...until the window company came out last week to fix some mis-sized screens and a broken pane. It actually bugged the repair guy enough that he fixed them!! At no cost! I was stunned and happy and thrilled and could've hugged him. It was such an ease on my mind to have those grills match the rest. How's that for piddly things you hate?!

I haven't seen enough of the new shows this season to notice yet, but I'm sure you're right Flamey. It would be a darn good time for some of the actors to get a "job" done and have time to recoup. I'm just sick to see what some of them have done to themselves. Those Sturgeon lips and plastic looking cheeks are horrid.

I don't think any even medium sized city of renown in Europe can be seen in less than two days and usually more is needed. Depending, or course, on what one's interests are. To know and experience a new place, it's not just going to the better known sights but also wandering around, seeing the people, sampling the local food, and the rest. Bilbao is special as one of the larger (largest?) cities in Spain's Basque area. I enjoyed seeing the unique inside and outside architecture and layout of the Bilbao Guggenheim much more than any of the art I saw inside. I was also a bit disappointed that it's a pretty small museum. Personal taste is involved and we're all different. There's much more in Bilbao than just this museum.

I guess this is representative of why I bought our home and makes me smile? It has many original features and had a nice warmth to it. I had to track down this toilet and sink and the legs (there was a plain white toilet before and cheap particle board vanity that was water damaged). I got lucky there was the original tile under the vanity. I need to finish decorating and puting up my hall mack accessories in here. There is still a long way to go, lots of undoing remuddling around the house, and work in the other bathrooms and kitchen (they need full renos because of the layouts).
