Marilyn, I agree, sometimes a person writes something--LIKE My Life, etc, and writes things that they wish later they had either left out or ??? Please, post what you feel comfortable with. As to daily posting, maybe once a week, with brief updates when you feel it is necessary. Yes, it is hard to post daily happenings. I really enjoy your posts and the only other suggestions I have is find out how to copyright your work. I have a friend that writes country music and he copyrights everything he publishes. Saves problems and hurt feelings. Again stay safe and enjoy building your home and taking care of your pets.

What I write doesn't bother me...I am just who I am...but I know some people don't want anything personal about themselves on the internet, and they will think I am really stupid for doing it...but those people already think I am really stupid. :)) And I won't go in to what I think about them. Some of it is kind of interesting and quirky. I might write the first chapter to show you.

Anyway, I just mainly wanted to know if anyone wanted me to copy the Bayou Tails here.

Minnie, I still rehab possums but I don't have much going on with them right now. I have raised some that had "challenges" and they were interesting...like the Impossumables" and there was one that was given to me by the rehabbers that belonged to a lady who moved to Romania.

I've had a couple of pet possums that were turned over to me. I wish the people would just have been allowed to keep them. I'm not in favor of wildlife being pets, generally speaking, but when they are so tame and no fear of anything, it is hard to just release them.

Do write your stories and educate me a little more. Have you ever looked into publishing your stories? I bet Laura Ingalls Wilder (Little House on the Prairie) never thought her diaries would prove to be so popular. Could prove interesting, and even give you some pocket change (hopefully more than just pocket change) to put towards your great effort of feeding and caring for your animals and all the drop-ins/rescues you look after.

I do love your style of writing, and the content. Please don't abandon us any more. Ignore those who really don't appreciate you. Pi$$ on them!

You might copy Dickens. His publishers kept up reader appetite by limiting prodution. You could consider posting one (longer) story every week.

A friend who is an artist wanted me to do a book one time, and she would illustrate it, but really, I appreciate the kind words...there isn't that much to write about. I have had a lot of animals and most were rescues but nothing remarkable beyond that.

I think you would enjoy Bayou Tails...and they are already written...but you have probably heard about the animals in them before, but not in story form, but when I posted about them.

Marilyn please keep the stories coming. Lori used to tell us about her animals in Utah and her family life. I really miss her posts.

Moni, I tried to update about the house but that post quickly went south. I think it was pulled. We are still working on the house. I will update the Picasa album with pictures soon, and when I do, I will post it here. For now...here is a link, but we have done quite a bit to the house that I haven't taken pictures of. It was my wish to finish it by last Christmas....didn't make it. I don't know if we will finish it by this Christmas. Right now I am just hoping we finish it at all....some day.

Oh gosh how you underestimate yourself. Yup, it is easy to just jot down 'things' and probably anybody can do it, but the way you have of getting the animal's feelings across, and also your feelings as you talk about them and their personalities is very unique and holds the reader's interest.

When you get old (lol) and are looking for a different challenge, publish the stories for people far and wide to be able to enjoy.

Marilyn....you just keep on posting I'd enjoy reading almost anything...

I love it, Moni! And you are very smart to not buy something that needed so much work! Sometimes (often) I think......"What were we thinking?" Actually, it is more...what was I thinking? I don't think Jody thinks like I do and just went along.

Marilyn, it was something I could afford, without any payments...

That was the most important item on my buy it list... no payments.

I was so lucky to have my sis visit, and help me decorate. But, alas, I still have boxes to empty.

I rarely post here but I lurk every day, more often than not, half a dozen times a day. I am another one who wants to encourage you to keep your stories coming! They are wonderful and are very educational for the reader, whether they know it or not. As others have said, you've taught us about possums, donkeys, pigs, renovating houses, horses and all kinds of other things that many of us are not exposed to. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Marilyn, I agree that we will enjoy reading just about anything you decide to post. I showed the post about the donkeys to my husband this morning and he said that we should encourage you to write animal stories for children! I agree. There are several reputable publishing houses that would probably be happy to buy them. My granddaughter loves the "Don't Call Me Pig" book about an Arizona javalina.
