American Idol last night

I didn't see anyone post about it so I guess I will.

I really do not like Ellen as a judge. She simply follows exactly what Randy says. She adds nothing to the show IMO.

I didn't think Casey was as bad as they said. I really like Lee. He has really come out of his shell. I think it will be Lee and Crystal for the final two.

I found the songs somewhat boring last night... but I did really like Lee (as usual!). I agree that it will be him and Crystal as the final 2.

I think Ellen is okay as a judge.. it does seem she follows Randy's lead though. I liked it better when they took turns going first giving their feedback... now Randy is always first.. Simon last. I'd hate to be Randy. lol

One word. BORING! It about sums up the whole season for me. I love Ellen as a judge. Kara is starting to annoy me.

I think Lee is in the top three, talent-wise. If it were up to me alone, I would send home Aaron Kelly & Andrew Garcia. My current favorites are Mike Lynche and Lee Dewyze (though he had an "off" night last night, he deserves to stay, IMO)

I forgot all about it.... I'm so sorry about James...but I think he'll have many oportunities ahead of him. Just hope he makes the right decisions. My choice would have been to send Scotty home first. I can't stand how cool he thinks he is. Then Haley. Then Lauren and James would have been the winner. Not sure if Lauren is mature enough for all of this. But I remember them saying early on they were hoping for a female winner this time. And looking for a new teen singer. She'll be a good infleunce on the teen fans. I hope...as long as she doesn't become "evil" patti

This year has been the most talent ever over any year before, there are not any bad ones in the bunch and all will be successful. I did not vote but I like Scotty, Lauren, Haley in that order. I sure felt bad for Haley when she fell, I had just said out loud the way she is running in those heels she is going to fall and bam down she went. I wish they would just stay on stage to sing and not try to run around all over, it affects their breathing and makes it hard to follow and the judges can not see them. Once they become famous and have a lot of training then maybe they can start doing that kind of stuff. I thought it was awesome that they let her dad play guitar on stage with her singing. That was a very good performance.

At the end of the Tuesday shows and during the Wednesday shows, we see recaps of the Tuesday performances. But, the recaps are actually excerpts that were filmed during rehearsals. They are not from the performances we, the audience, sees on Tuesday night. As it were, the judges can also see those rehearsals. The format of Tuesday's show was a little different than previous weeks. The contestants sang two songs each. Instead of the judges doing their critiques after each song, they were asked to hold off until after each contestant sang both of their songs. However, after each sang their first song, they were all on stage and Ryan asked the judges for some quick remarks (still holding off the main critiques until after the second song). Paula got confused, thinking they had already sang their second song and began talking to Jason about both his songs. She was reading from written notes, which tells us she saw the rehearsals and had already prepared her critiques. The problem, as others have explained, was Jason and all the other contestants had only sang their first song at that point.

I agree, very boring. I'm also not a Frank Sinatra fan so that may be part of the reason. Ellen's ok, at least she's funny. Kara, not really sure if I like her.

As far as constructive criticism, I think Kara gives the best. She tempers the bad with the good. Simon and Randy keep telling them the same things: song choice, do something different with the song to make it yours, etc then when they do, its not right. Ellen doesn't have any musical talent to base her comments on, just whether she likes the person or not. I wish they just had the 3 or the 4th being a musical guest of the week.

I didn't care for Sinatra night. I liked Crystal's song better than the judges, and Lee was good. Mike was okay as was Aaron. Casey wasn't very good. He looked lost without his guitar.

I get a kick out of Ellen, she really loves doing it and it shows. I too am a bit weary of Kara, and am going to miss Simon tremendously. I probably won't watch it. I'm so sick of Randy's 'Dawg'....talk about a stereotype.

I was such a fan of Casey's but he has zero stage presence. I got a charge out of Harry's comment about Lee being a younger him, I had just said that to my husband.

Anyone else shocked when they say Nancy Sinatra? Simon was so touched by his gift, he hugged Tina but I don't think he even touched Nancy...probably fear! LOL!! She looked like she was mad.

I thought it was a pretty boring night. Lee is my favorite but I do also really like Crystal. I agree that Casey has no stage presence. I think it's going to come down to Mike, Lee and Crystal, with Lee and Crystal being the final 2. I'm really not sure who will win...

I'd like to know what experience Ellen has to have been chosen as a judge?

Is she involved with music in anyway?

As I was watching last night I wasn't liking any of the singers...then it finally dawned on me it was because I don't like songs from that era. It was the songs I wasn't liking.

When Lee was singing...I actually felt sorry for him...I thought they would blast him on his song....and was completly surprised they all praised him.....What do I know.

Oh...and I have had the same thought about Ellen...that she copies Randy.
