Nicole...Any update on baby?

Hey Nicole! Been thinkin' about you- anything new regarding baby's heartbeat?

Nothing yet. I'm 16 weeks now. I have my next appointment in 6 days, and I'm so anxious. I want to go NOW, but then I'm scared to go at all, know what I mean? The doctor is going to give me an ultrasound requisition that day (for the regular scan). If he doesn't hear a heartbeat at that appointment, though, I'll be leaving his office and heading straight to the hospital.

I spent the day in the hospital on Saturday on an IV. I had been sick the night before - throwing up every 5-15 minutes all night, so I went in in the morning.... I know it's not good for baby for me to be dehydrated. My electrolytes were very low. I was hoping the doctor there would check the heartbeat, but he didn't. He did do a pregnancy test, though, and the (HCG, I guess?) number was around 30 000. That means nothing to me, but he said it's normal. I'm taking that as a positive sign.

Pammyfay, he is not actually related to me by blood. These girls have adopted us as thier parents since our DD was in 2nd grad with the new mom. Both of thier parents and step father are now gone. So we are mom & dad, as were thier parents to my DD. I have one grandson by DD, Damien, who is 9; two grandsons to be, come October when DS gets married, Manny 12, & Carmelo 7, and Gabriel makes number 6 for the "adopted" grands. I have four girls who call us mom & dad who are all friends of DD's. Between the four there are now 6 kids! I love being called mom & granny/grandma (depending on who is doing the calling!) May be changing that to the Polish version of grandma shortly, just cause we can. The kids are discovering the English/Polish audible translators on the internet, and the grands are having fun with it. Tami

Yes I have them in full sun and I have been feeding with Tapin root once a month and also I water with my earthworm tea :) and on very hot sunny days, all my Adeniums get misted with the earthworm tea (I've been doing the tea for 2 years now and my plants love it). I wish I could get rid of these spidermites quicker, but I am conquering them :) Those Plumeria cuttings/plants are looking great. I have the 2 Plumerias that I rooted right away (one was the white one...it now has an inflo) and they are growing well. Plus most of the others I let dry for 3 weeks, seems to be all rooting/growing leaves, except for one (it was a cutting from my Hawaiian Plumeria), but I will try again:) The mother of the white one is growing well and is sprouting leaves on all the 7 stems, but not putting out new growth where I took the cutting from. I will be ready to send you a cutting of the white one, but how short is too short for a cutting? The longest of the 7 stems is right at 6", would that be a long enough cutting? I usually cut at around 7" or so, but I can cut it and send it if you think that's good. They have been well away from my greenhouse (where the spidermites are), but maybe once you receive the Plumeria cutting and the small Bromeliads, you might want to keep them away from your plants for a while....just in case! I split up two braids this year, one had pups coming up and the other had absolutely nothing, barely even a root. I'm waiting for the one with all the pups to start back with growth, nice to know what they're going to look like in the near future :) congrats on your save. I like being able to "rescue" plants from what the marketers think will sell, even if it's glued on rocks or glued on "flowers". Nice job!

Same as above. I'm sure they've been wildly busy and stressed, but I want so badly to hear he's ready for release or at home. We had a family preemie baby in the hospital three weeks earlier this year. Not only is the worry unending, the household is so disrupted with either mommy or daddy or both staying at the hospital leaving a confused toddler at home with an entirely different routine. I know we all want them whole again and leaving this happening behind in the dust.

It looks like I'll be able to update sooner than Tuesday.... My doctor's office just called. He got the results from the hospital, and he wants to see me tomorrow afternoon.

Gee whiz Nicole, I didn't know you were having worries about the baby. I hope you get good news from the Doctor so he can alleviate your worry. Sorry to hear you were not feeling good.
