I think there is one more episode. Unfortunately, the show has been cancelled. What a shame. It is so well written and well acted.

aw man...Cancelled?!? I LOVE Men In Trees. I'm so sad it's being cancelled.

I topped a tree tonight

A few years back my father actually ran over a newly planted cleveland pair tree. When I say topped it I mean he actually had totally topped it where all that was there was the main trunk just a few side branches that had began to grow. It looked horrible he trimmed it up to get it halfway decent looking. At a neighbors advice my dad left it. The neihbor has alot of trees and told my dad that about 20 years ago when they planted one of their trees that he had done the exact same thing. Well the tree the neighbor topped 20+ years ago is actually bigger and taller than the ones that he planted at the same time. The tree my dad topped a few years back has grown and now matches the other trees. You cant even tell that he did it. So with that said just give it time and it should recover nicely like it never happend. I still laugh when I visit and look at that tree.

Thanks guys! Mike this will be my second year with trees in the room but last year I made many mistakes. Last year they were in old very boggy mix in terra cotta, I kept the room too warm which encouraged pests since I also brought figs, peppers and herbs in with the citrus, and also I never treated for pests before they came in so scale got way out of hand. In spite of all that most came through ok but still needed a lot of recovery time outside. The yuzu is the only one still lagging but it is now replacing its leaves from last year so is otherwise almost recovered. This year I corrected all those issues so I think I am in good shape! Plus I added more lights for the darker areas and am prepared to add a few more if needed. I am also curious about Laura's question on her thread about fertilizing, they all have fresh osmocote in the pots but I think I still need to keep up light FP correct? I have also lost some old yellow leaves since they came inside. Seemed like normal sloughing to me. Love the thornless key lime too Laura! The thing just keeps growing but wont hold any fruit yet. It's definitely big enough, I will have to be patient- sigh!

You're measuring crown spreads in two completely different (as in forming a cross or widest + narrowest) directions and then averaging them for the final dimension, right? So that your crown spread figures are the average crown spreads? (Your final figures for each tree should be height x trunk circumference* x average crown spread). *At 4 1/2 ft. above the ground - or the narrowest circumference obtained below the point of forking, when there is more than one trunk. I liked it alot but got lost trying to keep up with it:( I do not think peole like simple little shows like this that are fun without alot of drama rama or sex attached.

I think it the stations fault folks do not watch it and it gets canceled since they move them around alot or maybe it was just a victim of the strike.

Thanks for the reminder. Love the show & I'm also disappointed that it's been cancelled. I read where Ann Heche is broke! Article said she has had to pay her ex so much alimony & child support. It also stated she & her co-actor on the show, broke up & she's gone whacko again. Who knows but loved the show!

I really hate to hear that it is cancelled. It was a favorite. I also think its the networks fault because they kept changing nights and times and people got tired of trying to figure out when it was on. Evidently the network didn't like it but I thought with all the trouble we had keeping track of it there were lots of loyal fans.
Guess we don't count.
