1/4-inch piecing foot is snap-on

I bought a White 1/4" snap-on piecing foot for my 20-something White Jeans Machine. The gal at the store said her sister has an oldish White and it fits on hers. I bought it assuming my machine can take snap-on feet.

Well, if it does, I can't figure out how to snap OFF anything to make room for this snap-on foot! Nothing in the users manual mentions snap-on feet for this machine.

Do snap-on feet fit only certain machines that specifically come with snap-on feet?

My brother takes snap on feet there should be a piece that screws on to your machine that snaps into the foot if your machine takes snap on feet?When you change the feet on your machine are they all one piece? If so your machine won't work with this foot!

Red, thanks that is clear. Yes, the feet are all one piece.

I tried the gauge with sticky pad but that's not going to work.

Guess I need to find a 1/4" foot that will go on this machine, or try something else. I may try blue painter's tape, that worked for other seam allowances.

s, You seem to know you have an excessive pressure problem. You have laid out a description but actually haven't given any information for us to make a recommendation. What part of the system have you pressure tested. Where you getting 60-80 psi from the hydrant in the street? Have you pressure tested from an outdoor faucet from your house? Is that where you are experiencing 60-80 psi? Do you have a pressure adjustable regulator for your house? For the kind of thing you want to do you, a midsize arc (stick) welder would be best. Along the lines of a Lincoln AC225, or AC/DC if you want to really get a nice one. You're looking at $250-450 new, or $50-300 used. Just make sure it works--nothing much to go wrong. You can cut with a big welder but it's really, really bad. Use a hacksaw or a grinder or something to make your cuts. HF stuff is low quality. That welder in your link would be good for someone looking to get into small-part TIG welding on a budget, but for your purposes it doesn't have enough power and would take forever. Inverter is just another kind of welder design, as opposed to a transformer. Do some research through the Google Groups newsgroup archive. Lots of welder info to search through. Some books can be very helpful, too. And get your spelling and punctuation straight, it's almost impossible to read all that.

You have 21" of drop between your (planned) toilet connection and the point where the run will join with the septic's pipe as it enters the house. As long as the run does not exceed ~84 feet you'll have the required drainage. And of course you could be closer than 84' and simply lower the toilet connection. Right? Good luck, M

I handle a line that has some 1" thick doors. They also originally offered 1" thick face frames as an option, about two years ago they made that standard (QCCI a high end brand) When they changed from 3/4 to 1" frames the base cabinet size increased to 24-1/2" and wall cabinets from 13 to 13-1/2" (the face frame cabinets are primarily inset as they offer a frameless for full overlay) My take is that either is entirely aesthetic. There are door styles that I like better at 1" since the framing bead can be more robust and in some cases longer. (not the one pictured but some more contemporary styles. The one place that 1" frames matter is when using a decorative edge on the frame other than a bead, with the door slightly inset. To me these are best used sparingly, as features or in furniture pieces. I've never seen 1" doors set proud of the frame unless they were lipped doors which use old fashioned knife hinges.

There are also magnetic things you can put as a raised edge along the throat plate. They cost about five bucks. That's what I am using on my 1960's Singer 301.

Jenn you can by adapter to fit snap on feet what is your machine is it a high shank?

Red, comparing it to the photo. it appears to be low shank. Where is the best place to go for the foot I need? Joanns is a White dealer, but this is the only 1/4" foot they sell. Guess I can try the yellow pages for another White dealer. There's got to be one who can sell me a 1/4" foot for this machine.

See this foot the piece fits in the foot and attaches to your machine screw. Does you new foot look like this?

Hi,
Featherweights are low shank too. Does anyone you know have a foot for a Featherweight that you could try? I bought one over the internet but I'd try one first to make sure.

www.221parts.com has a 1/4 inch foot for the Featherweight. I bought one last week but haven't tried it on the Featherweight.

I can't help with the foot, sorry...but I saw a tip that said to try "muleskin" for a guide. muleskin is that stuff sold by Dr. Scholls to put on corns on your feet. You get the kind that is a rectangle pad , not a circle...and you stick in on just like you would the blue tape. The raised edge allows your fabric to butt against it and you guide against the edge.
