An odd great thing about changing multi/lev countertop!

Hi all, for those of you who have changed to a one level eat-in counter height from a two level snack bar type, have you noticed that it seems to keep people out of your kitchen bubble? This past week is the first time I have had a group with family members since I finished the kitchen. In the past part of my peninsula was regular counter height with a sink but it also had an upper 15" level snack bar thingy with seating. That whole area is now all one counter height level with seating and deep sink. Maybe since I'm the sort who does not like help in the kitchen unless I ask, well maybe I notice it more but not one person crossed the line into my bubble. They all just sat comfortably at the counter while we chatted and I finished preparing. It's a wonderful thing I tell ya! Has anyone else noticed this with your change to one level? Think maybe it was a fluke?
