I missed last weeks episode due to the storms.

I know that it won't be long till they start worrying about Rob and it will be interesting to see who has guts enough to start something with Rob.

Gargamel wrote, "I’ve come to the conclusion that I like the 39 day format much more than the condensed 26 day format." Then sushipup2 responded, "Gargamel, no, there are still the number of hours of the shows aired, regardless of the 26 or 39 day format." Yes, sushipup2, the number of hours aired on tv remains the same, but I agree with Gargamel that the pace of the development of the show is much faster. There used to be a Tribal Council every three days, now it's every day. We would see what happens when the tribes get tree mail, and there were the days between Tribal Councils when the tribes would have a whole day at camp to search for idols and plot and scheme with other tribe members.

OK! Yam Yam is Puerto Rican and the Y is pronounced like a J. Had to go to Yam Yam's private online feed for THAT explanation. And...Carolyn does have a REAL idol. Quote: About Sara.... Not only did she have the unused Inheritance Advantage from Journey Island, but she also was in possession of what she thought was a real immunity idol, but was actually the birdcage fake planted by Carolyn.

She was overly confident and greedy. When she read that the II would keep value if she didn't use it, I knew she'd be greedy and not use it. https://ew.com/tv/recaps/survivor-45-recap-episode-3/

Sushi, I was thinking the same, that Brandon (?) will be back. I am so tired of Banu and his blubbering. Maybe Banu will have a mental breakdown and he’ll be replaced by Brandon.

I'm looking forward to tonight as I got tired of them automatically picking off the other team. I'm ready for a little "surprise" in the show.

I don't think any of them thought that this wouldn't come, so it shouldn't come as a surprise for them. They just have to settle on the pecking order, so there'll be a lot of wheeling and dealing tonight.

I just hope Rob doesn't waste his hidden idol, that he uses it well and to his best advantage. He's pretty astute, but no one is perfect.

I also don't think this is the first time an entire team was picked off, seems like it happened a few times ago.

Ugh, I can't stand him. "Could you guys help me stand up?" Gag.

I have to agree, Katlan. I think it was quite a shock to the one that left!

But it would have been a big shock to any one of them......They are going to have to start making some blindside plans for Rob and the minute he sees anyone getting chummy he will crack down. He said he wants to make a better life for his wife and child...OK Rob but you already have Ambers 1 million why not let someone else have a chance.......Are the girls going to wise up?

can someone email me who left? smcqueen72@comcast.net

Steph, I sent you an email.

Andrea certainly looked glowing for someone who has been living the Survivor life. My hair doesn't look that good when I fix it. She looks like she is wearing makeup. I wonder if she has had some cosmetic tatooing done.

Rooting for Rob! He deserves it!

I know! Right on Glenda! :0)

I would kinda like to see Rob win, just to make Survivor history, but I would also like someone else to have the money although I'm not sure who would deserve it, as far as "smarts" go.

    Time will tell.

I was checking out another forum. They think Mike got the winner's edit this season. Each season there is a scene where the helicopters fly around or a particular sequence and that person wins. I wasn't paying close enough attention to see.

If anyone from the decimated tribe makes it to final tribal council, that person is most likely to win. Rob's team was not nice to the other team. Since the other team has more people on the jury, their team member is likely to get the most votes. You can't play just to make it to finals, you have to play to the jury too. I think Rob may have messed up.

There have been several seasons before where the person who ended up winning was someone whom everyone on the jury disliked, but they voted for the person anyway because they felt that, "hey, s/he played the game well, so s/he deserves to win."

So, it's sooo difficult to know ahead of time who will win.

Also, I'm sure a lot of the $million that Amber won had to go to taxes, so they've never had the entire million to live on.

I would think that million (probably half-mil after taxes) is long gone by now. I would hope they bought a house or put away for college for their kids. They don't seem like the extravagant party types.

I predict that Rob will not use the hidden immunity idol. I think there should be only one more elimination that he would need it for anyway. I thought it was interesting that he considered getting rid of Phile (as Ralph spelled it) last night. Just listening to him weigh it out was interesting--he considers every possibility and is a very, very smart player.

I do think the person coming back from redemption will be Rob's downfall, tho. After all, everyone over there will be gunning for him.

That was a great challenge, building those steps. Some of the team barely tried, looked like. And Rob went all out, I thought he was going to pass out and lose right then if they called in medical assistance and diagnosed heat stroke. He earned that immunity last night and hopefully, some more respect.

Mike was very nice to give up his family reward to the 6 remaining players on Murlonio. (I laugh every time I see or type that. I wonder if Rob's sister got it.) If he ends up in the final, it can only help him, since he only ticked off Matt and Ralph with his decision.

I'd love to see Mike get back into the finals, although I'd feel bad for Matt after the way he has been able to stay on (and on and on and on :)

Giving credit where credit is due, I have to give it up for Rob last night . . . what a display of ultimate perseverance in that physical challenge! That had to be the most physically-draining challenge in Survivor history . . . I was scared to death that he was going to pass out and tumble down those steep stairs!!

it was a crazy thing considering the heat they had...thought rob might pass out, but wow...i think i've got to cheer him on to the end...

My prediction: Rob's going to divorce Amber and marry the next million dollar winner if it's another female. Wonder why she wasn't there to see him.

I can't even stand the sound of his voice. He says he wants to make a better life for his family, yeah o.k., who doesn't? He can't need the money more than Julie, she said she's a single mother with her home in foreclosure. I don't think Rob is all that smart either, he just has experience and is conniving. Who wouldn't know how to play the game after 3 tries? I can't stand his arrogance either. I don't think he deserves to win. He's had his time, his "family" already got their million.

I would like to see Matt, Mike or Phil win.

Amber didn't come because she was pregnant with their second child.

Like past winners have said $1M doesn't go very far particularly after taxes.

I can't remember if I saw it on a reunion show or read it, but Amber is the one who talked Rob into going back on Survivor after the first season. I believe he was asked back and didn't want to do it again. Amber convinced him it was the right thing to do since Survivor had done so much for them.

I agree Katlan. The producers have made this season everything they could to help him stay in the game. Puzzles and more puzzle. Young dumb girls.

I think he was faking the exhaustion for the camera. How come Grant and little Andrea weren't having problems?

Anyone else notice how he held on to the phone the whole time while the other tribe passed it amongst them while viewing their family members? What a jackarse.

I was REALLY REALLY impressed with Amber. If she hadn't made that ONE mistake, I think she just might have won the immunity idol. That would have been cool!

I missed a bit, glad Matt is still alive. Anyone think
that they might send back more than one person from
    redemption island?

Phil sure seemed NORMAL last night, didn't hie? hmmmmmmm
    lol

Love love the way Rob is playing the game. As I said, I never liked him before, but I really do this time..And he has a Boston accent. I like the puzzle games. Some others were too violent and vicious in past seasons and not fair with smaller women in it.

I'm another that cannot even stand to hear Rob's voice, I think he's an arrogant arsehole. And I hope that they wise up soon enough to deliver the blindside to end all blindsides. I think Kat is right, had Amber not made that one error I think she would have won.

Phillip was very different last night, and tho I really think he's dumb in so many ways I think he might be playing everyone.

    It's Andrea not Amber....LOL

I hope Rob wins it all this time. He is playing a great game.I think he really was that wiped out at the challenge and I was scared for him.
    GO ROB!

I agree ..GO ROB. Speaking of accents, was there ever a dumber man than Ralph on the show? He can't spell the simplest name and needs a translator when he talks.

Boston Rob all the way !! Give the guy credit, he is one smart individual and deserves to win. Whoever said "he should know how to play the game he's played it 3 or 4 times" right... this is not a board game!!!

I don't think Rob was faking it, IMHO, he truly went all out on that challenge! They showed Andrea pretty well exhausted also, I don't remember seeing Grant after the challenge so much. I think Rob should win but not really sure how the votes could go, depends on how the rest of the game plays on, have to be very smart on who to vote out next.
I feel bad for Matt, having been on redemption island almost the whole time and I hope he wins something, maybe he will get the $100,000 sprint fan favorite !

"Anyone think that they might send back more than one person from redemption island?"

As a matter of fact, yes. My husband and I think that there will be TWO sent back into the game from Redemption Island.

Think about it -- there are three there now. A fourth arrives, they have a challenge, but only one leaves the island to join the jury, leaving three behind. The next week, another person joins, which again creates a four person Redemption Island.

We think that this will continue until they have a challenge for the last three on Redemption Island, where one will be put on the jury and the other two remain on the island. In the meantime, folks keep getting voted off Survivor...

For the past I-don't-know-how-many "seasons," there have been three contestants in the final. We think that what the producers will do is end up with one final person from the folks "still in the game," and that person will be joined from the final two on Redemption Island, so that the final three will be one "Survivor" and two "Redemption Island folks."

The final vote would be really interesting if this happened. Would the jury vote for the person who had played the game well enough to never get voted off? Or would they vote for someone from Redemption Island, who was able to make it back into the game?

Andrea Andrea Andrea LOL .. that's what I meant to say
but I had just read those posts talking about rob's wife... LOL

I think more than one will be coming back!
