Choosing Floor Tile - Would this bother you?

I am going for a higher contrast look. Cabinets are dark stain, countertops Bianco Romano, and the floor has been very hard to pick.

I have narrowed it down to 2.

The first one is an aged rustic tile. There is variation between the tiles, the edges are slightly sculpted.

My concern that instead of the design variations looking aged that it might just be viewed as a dirty floor.

I like rustic. I'm concerned it may look dirty.

#1

This second one has more color variation and some of them are actually going to be much darker than what #1 variations show.

It's smoother, not the rustic effect I like. There is more variation allowing less simple contrast, But, it doesn't give off the grunge look.

So bottom line, given that both are close in color which would win out for you. Desire for the rustic, or, being concerned that it would eventually drive you nuts that the floor might look like it needs a good scrubbing?

Has anyone used CasaRoma India Bihar Mosacio, or San Marcos Portofina Ivory?

Thanks katienic.

P.S. I am not an overly fussy housekeeper so hiding stuff between floor washings is not a bad thing :)
