Wow, barely July and I have started to receive bday blocks in the mail!

First Sue's arrived (polardream) - beautiful blue leaf fabric and a lovely coaster as well (with a comfy quilt on it). Thank you very much!

Ann - yours arrived a day later. I love the light blue fabric you chose, and the sachet of pot pourri is wonderful. Thanks a lot :)

And just today, Bill's arrived in the mail. I'm going to post on this thread instead of the other, but thank you for the Canada Day wishes, and the beautiful birthday block. I have never made this one myself either, but thought it would look wonderful as a quilt. I love that both blue fabrics have the same swirl mosaic type pattern on them, quite an effect! And thank you also for the quilting needles :)

I will post as more come in, but thank you for these ones already, they are absolutely lovely!!!

Cathleen, your block went into the mail yesterday so keep your eye out for it.

Neat pattern, quick and easy to piece. Please post pictures of them all together to see the overall effect.

and Dianne: I love that blue batik, thank you very much for the beautiful block! I will definitely post photos when they have all arrived, now that I have a digital camera and know how to use it :) I'm curious myself to see what the overall effect is, I've seen it in browns but never in blues!

Cathleen, I'm getting worried about your block from me. I mailed it on the 7th. Could you please let me klnow if it has arrived. I am not sure how long it takes for post to get from south Louisiana to Canada.

Sally, I'm sorry I haven't received it yet. The blocks I have gotten so far are the ones I have posted here . . . and Virginia/Macbeaner is having trouble with her machine I know, and has let me know :)

It does seem to be taking a long time, but I'm sure it will turn up in the mail. Louisiana to Canada is quite a long way :) My sister spent the winter in New Orleans and when sending her packages, everything seemed to take quite a long time to get there, so no worries yet!

For those who have mailed them and they haven't arrived, I would give it some time still :) Strange that mail is taking so long, but I can't imagine that so many blocks are lost in the mail. I'm sure they will arrive eventually.

I haven't heard from several people at all, but if I haven't listed you here and you have sent the block, please let me know so I know to look out for it.

Cathleen, Friday will be a month since I mailed your block so I think it is lost. I made a new one this morning and put it in the mail. I hope it gets there soon. When the other one shows up, if it ever does, you'll have two but they are not the same blues anyway.
