Thank you for all of your comments. These wonderful ideas are giving me so much to think about. I would love to simply repair the door--I didn't even know that was possible. Who does that sort of thing? The floor in our sunroom is "Kentile" which is a hard, rubbery, impossible-to-clean fake tile. It needs to go as well. We have so many projects to do, all seem financially daunting, but we know that a non-functioning door is something that needs attention. We've lived with it for 17 years, it needs to be dealt with. The pictures of the pool tables reminded me that I have always wanted a game table/chairs set somewhere in the house. We play a lot of board games and sometimes you want to leave them up when a break is needed. This would be a wonderful addition to our house. Would love wicker too, and plants. Can you grow herbs indoors? I have a lot to think about. Thanks so much!

Bluebell66 That rooms peak/shape is a bit different/looks higher but I'm just not crazy about those little strips of color running around the room at ceiling height like a 1980's border...gets kind of race tracky. :) Anyways....it's your sunroom and you need to love it so do what makes you happy. I will mention I have woven blinds that I've bought now for probably 9 yrs...in 3 homes; they're the Tuscan woven blinds from Overstock. Super look, cheap and avail in just about ANY width which I've never seen before. My sunroom has 20ish" wide windows next to the door...they even come in that width. They also come in a few diff lengths. You have a LOT of windows and these won't break the bank. I changed my mind on a rug but if you think you'd like a gorgeous and durable seagrass look, I'll look for the company name.

@bellburgmaggie houses in our neighborhood go for around $150/sf, but are typically Victorians that need a lot of work, or have been stripped of everything historic inside. Our house is different in that is has a lot of historic detail and we have renovated a ton and fixed major systems. That might effect our pricing in our favor some, but unfortunately, spending that much on this room for so little square footage wouldn’t be recouped. I think we will live with the room as is and then keep our eyes out for new property.

Makes sense @cali. I was thinking through that after reading up on circular rug placement and finding that it should be centered. I don’t think I’d want a table in the middle of the space either because it’d be in the way of the walkway. I’ll do some taping! In the meantime, I moved the chairs closer together and it feels better.
