Buy her this...

Abby was very happy to get this from me yesterday.

But you should have seen the look on her face when I plugged it in an turned the neon tube on. Her eyes got HUGE and and her grin had to be continued on the next several kids.

I think I did good. :-D

Yep, you did good. Any little girl would love to be given something like that and I am sure Abby will treasure it always and remember who gave it to her. I remember receiving nice gifts when I was a little girl and still remember the feeling when I got them.

How to give12 little girls a just-opened rose on last day school

My 4 year old son gives roses to his teacher at Valentines day. I go to Costco and pick up a bunch of roses. I then put each rose in a plastic tube with water. I get clear plastic wrap (sold in wrapping paper section at Target, etc.) and cut a large square. I lay a colored tissue paper to match on top of the plastic. (Make sure your roses are not wet or the color of the tissue paper will run.) Lay the rose in the center. Fold one side over, the bottom up and the final side over and around. Tie with ribbon. Attach a card. Hope this makes sense. Michaels Craft Store sells the little plastic tubes you can fill with water. But are a touch expensive without the 40% off coupon. I like the idea about approaching a florist...tell them you are a school teacher and they will likely sell them to you for cheap. All these supplies can be bought for cheap but in bulk at a florist supply store. But to get the wholesale price you would need a resale license. Maybe a freind has one.

I agree with Glo. I’d do inside mount roller shades. They’re cute, easy to use, allow your pretty window trim to show, and can be budget friendly. If you google ‘diy roller shades’ ... ‘diy roller shades girls room’ ... ‘no sew roller shades’, etc, lots of tutorials come up. They’d be great because you could pick the exact fabric/covering you want. Our Princess whom I think is close in age to Abby LOVES Princess things. (you can't go wrong with Barbie either!LOL)
A couple years ago DS went shopping for Maddie's birthday...I love to picture it, he was standing at the checkout with his arms full of Princess stuff and pink clothes! ;)

Oh how sweet! We gave our DD a Disney princess sweatshirt for her birthday when she was little - she still has it tucked away in a drawer even though she is a teenager now.
