March,April,May,June Strolling the Block BOM

Finally got the rest of my Strolling the Block BOM blocks finished, and here they are.

March:

Now I want to make a few extra blocks (probably trees) to fill in to make a somewhat larger quilt.

Then on to the sashing!

Those are FANTASTIC. I just love the embellishments -- the strings and ribons. And that little dog just makes my heart feel happy! So cute!! And the "dancing" chicks. Love 'em!

My niece's husband is an only child from a small fam. He tells her our fam looks for any reason to get together!!! My father passed when I was 21 and we all consider my stepfather as dad. He always help my grandmother on my father's side any time she needed it. The Easter reunion includes my father's side and gets pretty big. This one is going to be smaller LOL!!! I have been cleaning my sewing room. I took everything out and cleaned the carpet. WHAT A JOB!!!!!!!!!!!! Linda it is so exciting that your daughter had her dream wedding!! Sally you are so busy I don't know how you find time to quilt. I am looking forward to the pics. I think there are going to be big sales coming up and I really don't need to buy more fabric, but I am sure I will. Have a safe trip Sharon, take clothes that are easy to wash and wear, save the space for more material LOL!!! Rosa

The only valid link I could find was this on how HGTV approached Jan Schmidt and they did it as a BOM. Maybe contact HGTV and see how you can get the pattern? There was a thread on this last year and someone had all the blocks listed but I couldn't bring them up. SharonG/FL Here is a link that might be useful: HGTV

Well Heck Marti you and Grace put me to shame. I only have like 3 or 4 of my blocks done. But I am going to work on them. Hopefully mine will be done buy the time your done quilting yours. At least that's my goal these days since I couldn't keep up with you.

And your blocks are absolutely wonderful.

Your blocks are so cute and each one has it's own cute feature. How long does it take you to make one block. Your finished quilt will be wonderful....and you will show us.

Those are wonderful. Those long johns on the line are so cute.
I love the dog with the May pole ribbon. And that patchwork house is so darling. I really like the June block too with the little chickens and the hay in the silo opening.
You're so creative!

Can't wait to see them set in a quilt.

Love 'em. I may have to end up making one. How about a school, church, store, barn, or pond for your extra blocks.

The rows will be Jan, Feb Mar
April May June
July Aug Sept
Oct Nov Dec.

So I need a block to fit in the first three months, maybe a church and bride for the second row, something else for the July/Aug/Sept row (that one already has a school and bus as the Sept block), and I have an extra one made for the last row.

Any other suggestions?

Marti maybe an ice skating pond for the first three months row.

And maybe an apple orchard for the 3rd row. We went and picked apples in September when we were in Chicago.

Marti, I love the fabrics, the laundry is perfect touch. like the idea of a tree block, or maybe a park ? I am working on mine at this time too, but it isn't going to be a quilt, so you'll just have to wait and see! LOL Rene
