What size blocks do you make most often? Are you drawn to a certain size for for a particular reason, or do you find instead you are mostly attracted to the design of the finished quilt pattern?

I have been making the 12.5" unfinished for the Block Lottos, and recently for mary_c QOV quilt, and also BOM QAYG class I am taking. I've made several tops using a center 16.5" square then various different sizes and cuts as required to complete the pattern. This pattern was perfect for my fabrics.

I recently read "200 Quilt Blocks" by Davina Thomas. All the blocks are the same size - 6". It is a mix and match the blocks book. Some pretty blocks, but she mixes these blocks in a way I don't care for-seams, corners, points not lined up. Not scrappy - just a little too willy-nilly for my tastes. So that made me wonder, what size blocks do you use most often?
