Think putting in the fence would be easier--Sue--as it sounds like you are quite busy. Weather here overcast, rain this afternoot or tonight again. Spent time on the phone yesterday as one of my credit cards got some charges that the company did not like and then notified me and I called them. They caught the theft before many charges went thru and are taking care of it. Just incovenience and I think I know where they got it and I did call the merchant but of course he denied everything but I think someone got into his computer. He is a well known person and never have had problems before.
Not much going on this weekend--too wet to plant the garden and too early.

Very beautiful sunny day here in Houston today but the temps have been going into the 90s so will be a hot day.
Need to go to the farm market for fresh vegetables, and the plant nursery for garden stuff. And hopefully pick up some more glass items for my garden totems.

I am not cooking so we will be going out to dinner.

Beautiful day here in So. Oregon after a 36 deg night and lots of rain the past days. A much lighter heart as well as bi=polar son has not crashed after a week of hel.ish mania. He sounds well this morning, but what a ride. I am sure all those prayers helped us all thru this crisis. Thanks...it IS good to have such love. Going to a garden show soon....springtime is in the air.

Gorgeous sunny day here Southeast Arizona temp to hit 85 with 9% humidity.

We are going to work in the motor home today getting things ready to leave on vacation the end of the month. Time goes quickly so we need to start early. I sure hate to be rushing around at the last minute getting things packed and cleaned. I always do a deep cleaning when we return but after it sits for a month or two it needs a light cleaning.

Gorgeous sunny day here. I think temperature is in the low 60's. Quite comfortable. Took my sister to Walmart to buy a 42 inch flat screen tv. She is visually impaired and I thought this would increase her enjoyment. I met and fell in love with her 2 new neighbors, great Danes. What gentle giants.

It's Derby Day!! We had pizza, salad and a diet soda for lunch and are getting ready to watch the pre-race activities and the actual race. It's a beautiful, sunny day here, with temps around 84 degrees. Bob has been trimming dead branches off the pecan tree and so far, I have not seen blood or heard any screams. I went out and checked the veggies this morning. I saw dozens of baby yellow squash, zuchinni, cucumber blossoms, radishes and a couple of blooms on the eggplant, plus little tomatoes the size of golf balls. Great eating in a week or so!

Thanks, mamatoad, for the reminder of its being Derby Day. I remembered it this morning, but had already forgotten. I'm going to turn to the channel at 4pm eastern so I can't accidentally miss it.

It's beautiful here today in my part of Ohio. I've done a little of this and a little of that. Talked to several of my sisters.

Very hot, a beautiful day. I just bought a automatic pool vac and its doing its job right now. I went to the flea market today and found a few little goodies and a nice bone for Dusty which he is enjoying right now instead of my table legs!

It's 48F and sprinkling a little bit, supposed to get warmer next week.

I planted white alyssum and blue columbine in the big pots on the deck, and I need to get some orange begonias out there too. I'll hang 2 solar light strings over the potted flowers later today, and then the deck will be ready for summer. For the rest of the day, I'll hang around the hummingbird feeder and try to get pictures of the hummers.

No Cinco de Mayo parties? My friend is having one this evening and I am making Margarita Cookies for it, with tequila in the frosting. Not sure how they'll turn out! I'm making brownies too, just in case.

Marilyn Sue, you must be one fabulous cook! I think you could keep an army going or start a catering business without any extra effort at all. Your family is very lucky.

Here in SD I woke up at 5:30 and it was thundering and lightning and foggy and raining really hard. What a combination! I don't know what the temp was though. I don't plan on doing much today. Now the sun is shining and it is 65 degrees.

It's beautiful, cool and sunny here in Panama City, Florida - a perfect Florida day! I've been working in the yard most of the day, so worn slick tonight.

Ack, had my cheat day and I should have made it Mexican! Forgot about Cinqo de Mayo.
Today, I did yard work all day. It was so productive. So glad the kids are big enough to play around me as I garden this year. If I can move tomorrow, I will do the same.

It is hot and humid here. High around 88. I don't have my window A/C in yet and don't want to get it in this early in May. I love sleeping with windows open at night and can't do that with the A/C in place. I made a delicious salad for dinner. Arugula, fresh strawberries, mandarin oranges, walnut pieces, red onion and feta cheese topped with a little non-fat dressing. YUM.
I need to plant some hostas before dark.

Quiet, today, quiet, tomorrow!

Just enjoying the days and the weather. I'm putting my foot up and have four library books to read plus playing on the puter. My kind of a weekend! :) Monday through Friday I watch my grandkids so I treasure my time alone.

Yesterday was lazy until the afternoon. We had to go out and find Sola a pair of black pants for her chorus concert this Friday. Nothing in our little town so we went to Frankfort. Was going to go to Lexington but remembered the KY Derby and traffic would be horrible around Keenland. People go there to watch the derby and party. So, Frankfort was it. Nothing on one side of town so we ate dinner at Ginza and watched the race on their big screen tv while we waited for our food. Then went across town to a few stores. Finally found a pair at Kohls. She also wanted some clam digger jeans because she is burning up at school. It's barely in the mid 70s and she is so hot already. Kohl's had some for $38, so we went to TJ Maxx, who had nothing...then next door to Maurices....$48 to $68! We walked out and as we were leaving some older sales woman said in a really rude voice, "well, WHAT was she looking for?" I lied and said she didn't like anything they had instead of saying they were way overpriced...now I wish I had told the truth.

We then went to Wal-Mart where she still didn't find any, but found a couple other things including a Danskin jacket on the sale rack for $3. I was going to get it for Lauren because she lives in jackets but they didn't have any mediums.

Today I have to weedeat out back, do laundry and run to the store for a couple things. Back to work tomorrow.
